“Nhà nước Hồi giáo” đã công bố việc giết hại 21 Kitô hữu Ai Cập đã bị bắt
cóc tại Libya vào đầu tháng Giêng vừa qua.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Một thông
cáo của quân khủng bố Hồi Giáo IS nói rằng các Kitô hữu Coptic đã bị giết
nhằm "trả thù cho những người phụ nữ Hồi giáo bị bách hại bởi quân vô đạo
Coptic ở Ai Cập”. Đây là điều ám chỉ một biến cố trong đó có hai phụ nữ Ai
Cập kết hôn với hai tín hữu Coptic đã đưa ra cáo buộc là họ bị nhà chồng
buộc phải bỏ đạo Hồi.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Đức Thượng
Phụ Tawadros Đệ Nhị của Chính Thống Giáo Ai Cập đã lên tiếng xin cầu nguyện
cho các tín hữu của ngài vừa bị bắt tại quốc gia láng giềng Libya. Lời kêu
gọi của Đức Thượng Phụ đã được đưa ra trong thông điệp mừng Giáng Sinh được
tổ chức ngày 7 tháng Giêng.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Hôm thứ
Bẩy 3 tháng Giêng, quân du kích Hồi Giáo đã bắt cóc 13 công nhân là các tín
hữu Chính Thống Giáo Coptic Ai Cập. Các nhân chứng tại thành phố Sirte cho
biết các chiến binh Hồi giáo đã xông vào một cư xá công nhân Ai Cập vào lúc
2 giờ sáng rạng ngày thứ Bẩy 3 tháng Giêng, và yêu cầu được xem căn cước
những người trú ngụ. Chúng có danh sách những công nhân nào là Kitô hữu và
công nhân nào là tín hữu Hồi Giáo.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Vụ việc
xảy ra chỉ vài ngày sau khi 7 Kitô hữu Coptic Ai Cập đã bị bắt cóc tại một
trạm kiểm soát giả ở Sirte khi họ cố gắng rời khỏi thành phố trở về Ai Cập
mừng lễ Giáng Sinh.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Trước đó,
một bác sĩ Ai Cập là tín hữu Chính Thống Giáo Coptic và vợ đã bị thảm sát
tại nhà riêng của họ ở thành phố Sirte, nơi có đông đảo công nhân xây dựng
của Ai Cập. Đứa con gái nhỏ của họ bị bắt đưa đi và sau đó người ta tìm thấy
thi thể của bé gái hôm 26 tháng 12.</font></td>
