(14.02.2015) – Trong những ngày này, Hội đồng Toà Thánh về đối thoại liên
tôn và Hội đồng Giám mục Ấn Độ tổ chức một loạt các sự kiện dưới sự chủ trì
của Sứ thần Toà Thánh tại Ấn Độ. Hai thành viên của Hội đồng Toà Thánh, một
người là Phụ tá thư ký - Đức ông Indunil J. Kofithuwakku Kofithuwakku, đã
tham dự Hội thảo Phật giáo–Kitô giáo Bodh Gaya của châu Á lần thứ năm. Hội
thảo nhằm thúc đẩy tình bằng hữu giữa các tín đồ của hai tôn giáo, diễn ra
trong hai ngày 12 và 13 tháng Hai. Các đề tài tại Hội thảo được bàn luận
theo hai quan điểm: Thuộc về một gia đình nhân loại duy nhất; Từ văn hóa đa
dạng đến văn hoá của tình đoàn kết; Tình huynh đệ cần thiết để vượt qua các
khó khăn trong xã hội; Làm thế nào để cùng nhau tiếp tục mở rộng tình huynh
đệ. Các tham dự viên thuộc nhiều quốc tịch: Ấn Độ, Sri Lanka, Thái Lan, Hàn
Quốc, Nhật Bản, Myanmar, Mông Cổ và Đài Loan. Một sứ điệp sẽ được công bố
khi Hội nghị kết thúc.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Tiếp theo,
từ ngày 14 đến 17 tháng Hai, Đức ông Kofithuwakku Kofithuwakku và cha
Michael Santiago, đặc trách khu vực châu Á sẽ đến Varanasi (Benares) dự lễ
kỷ niệm 50 năm Tuyên ngôn Nostra Aetate (1965) với các tín đồ đạo Sikh, đạo
Giaina, Phật giáo, Ấn giáo và Hồi giáo. Họ sẽ thảo luận về tính đa dạng tôn
giáo nhằm phục vụ hòa bình và tình yêu trên thế giới. Cuối cùng, vào ngày 15
tháng Hai, tại Nhà thờ chính toà Công giáo địa phương, sẽ diễn ra một ngày
cầu nguyện với sự tham dự của nhiều cộng đoàn Kitô hữu Ấn Độ. Sứ thần Toà
Thánh, Đức Tổng giám mục Salvatore Pennacchio sẽ có bài phát biểu kết thúc.</font></td>
