Catholic World News, Đức Cha Richard Malone của giáo phận Buffalo, chủ tịch
Ủy Ban Giáo Dân, Hôn Nhân, Đời Sống Gia Đình và Tuổi Trẻ của HĐGM Hoa Kỳ vừa
yêu cầu các hiền huynh giám mục của ngài sử dụng Tuần Lễ Hôn Nhân Toàn Quốc,
từ 7 tới 14 tháng Hai này, như cơ hội làm nổi bật bản chất của hôn nhân.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Ngài cho
hay: “con số hôn nhân sút giảm trong Giáo Hội là mối quan tâm của Ủy Ban,
cũng như các hậu quả của việc sử dụng khiêu dâm gây ra cho hôn nhân và gia
đình. Trong lãnh vực chính trị và luật pháp, quả là một quan tâm trầm trọng
khi phải chứng kiến các mưu toan nhằm tái định nghĩa hôn nhân thành một điều
gì đó khác với việc kết hợp suốt đời giữa một người đàn ông và một người đàn
bà”.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Trang mạng
của HĐGM Hoa Kỳ cho biết thêm: trong một lá thư gửi các vị giám mục Hoa Kỳ
ngày 16 tháng Giêng, Đức Cha Malone cho rằng Tuần Lễ Hôn Nhân Toàn Quốc Hoa
Kỳ từ 7 tới 14 tháng Hai và Ngày Hôn Nhân Thế Giới, Chúa Nhật 8 tháng Hai là
cơ hội “để cử hành hồng ân và hồng phúc của hôn nhân và củng cố cũng như hỗ
trợ các cặp đính hôn và kết hôn”.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Trong lá
thư của ngài, Đức Cha Malone giới thiệu nhiều tài nguyên khác nhau có thể
giúp ích cho các vị giám mục, các linh mục và các nhà lãnh đạo giáo dân
trong việc cổ vũ, củng cố và bênh vực hồng ân hôn nhân như sự kết hợp suốt
đời giữa một người đàn ông và một người đàn bà, trong đó có các trang mạng
For Your Marriage, Por Tu Matrimonio, và Marriage: Unique for a Reason. Ngài
cũng khuyến khích việc tham dự chiến dịch Call to Prayer for Life, Marriage,
and Religious Liberty, và chia sẻ các tài liệu giảng dạy về Ngày Hôn Nhân

buổi tĩnh tâm năm nay lấy từ các lời khôn ngoan của Đức GH Phanxicô ngỏ cùng
các cặp hôn nhân.</font></p>

hành Tuần Lễ Hôn Nhân Toàn Quốc tại Hoa Kỳ bắt đầu từ năm 2002, phát xuất từ
Tuần Lễ Hôn Nhân Quốc Tế. Ngày Hôn Nhân Thế Giới, cử hành hàng năm vào Chúa
Nhật Thứ Hai của tháng Hai bắt đầu từ năm 1983 do Worldwide Marriage
Encounter khởi xướng.</font></td>
