Sáu mùng 6 tháng 2, Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã gặp gỡ các vị tỉnh trưởng của
Italia, cám ơn họ đặc biệt vì họ đã phối hợp tiếp nhận rất nhiều người di cư,
là những người gần đây đã đổ bộ lên bờ biển Ý.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0cm; margin-bottom: 8pt"><font face="Arial">Trong cuộc
gặp gỡ với các quan chức chính quyền địa phương, Đức Giáo Hoàng cũng nói
rằng họ đóng một vai trò quan trọng trong việc tạo ra sự gắn kết giữa các
cộng đồng địa phương và chính quyền quốc gia Ý. Ngài đề cao cung cách họ
hành xử trong các trường hợp khẩn cấp về di dân mà đất nước đã trải qua, sự
cân bằng tinh tế giữa việc áp dụng pháp luật và sự tôn trọng các quyền con
người của mỗi cá nhân.</font></p>

Cha Phanxicô cũng nói về sự hợp tác tuyệt vời của chính quyền địa phương với
các giáo phận và giáo xứ, trong việc tìm cách thúc đẩy sự phát triển con
người và phục vụ lợi ích chung của đất nước thông qua giáo dục và các dịch
vụ xã hội khác.</font></p>

Cha ghi nhận cách thức các tỉnh trưởng đã phải cố gắng để cân bằng nhu cầu

Giáo Hoàng kêu gọi các quan chức hãy ghi nhớ rằng không phải họ đang đối phó
với những câu hỏi trừu tượng, nhưng là với hy vọng cụ thể của mỗi người
người nam nữ, trong bối cảnh những bất ổn kinh tế kéo dài.</font></td>
