đi; ngài nói đến “những giới hạn” của tự do ngôn luận và tự do tôn giáo, là
những quyền phải được thực thi nhưng không vì thế mà được xúc phạm đến người
khác.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Về những cuộc tấn công xảy ra ở Paris, Đức Thánh Cha
khẳng định: “Người ta không có quyền biến đức tin của người khác thành trò
cười”. Được hỏi về cách dung hoà tự do ngôn luận với tự do tôn giáo, Đức
Thánh Cha giải thích những điều kiện để thực hành hai “quyền căn bản” này và
những “giới hạn” của những quyền đó. Đề cập đến những cuộc tấn công khủng bố
tuần báo Charlie Hebdo vừa xảy ra ở Paris, ngài cho rằng tự do ngôn luận là
“một quyền, một nghĩa vụ” nhưng “không được xúc phạm đến người khác”, và
ngài lấy làm tiếc là hiện nay tâm lý xem tôn giáo như là “một nền văn hoá
cấp dưới” rất phổ biến.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Về quyền tự do tôn giáo, Đức Thánh Cha nhắc nhở mọi người
là việc thực hành tôn giáo không được dẫn đến bạo hành cũng như “cố ý xúc
phạm” đến người khác, “Không được nhân danh Thiên Chúa để gây chiến. Đã có
bao nhiệu cuộc chiến tranh tôn giáo xảy ra?” Đức Thánh Cha nhắc lại sự kiện
“cuộc thảm sát trong ngày lễ Thánh Batôlômêô” [xảy ra ở Pháp, ngày 24 tháng
8 năm 1572] và nhấn mạnh: “Làm sao hiểu được điều đó? Thảm sát nhân danh
Thiên Chúa là một điều sai lạc”. Đức Thánh Cha đã lên án cuộc tấn công khủng
bố ở Paris, và ngay buổi sáng hôm sau vụ khủng bố này xảy ra ngài đã dâng
Thánh lễ cầu nguyện cho các nạn nhân.</font></p>

rằng “quyền phát biểu điều mình suy nghĩ là một nghĩa vụ”: “Nếu một dân biểu
hay nghị sĩ không nói lên điều mình nghĩ, điều mình tin là đúng, thì họ đã
không phục vụ công ích”. “Chúng ta có bổn phận nói một cách công khai”, Đức
Thánh Cha lặp lại mong muốn của ngài trong Thượng Hội đồng Giám mục vừa qua
là mọi người đều có quyền phát biểu tự do.</font></p>

thi mà không xúc phạm đến người khác: “Có những giới hạn. Chẳng hạn như một
người bạn thân nói xấu về mẹ tôi, anh ấy coi chừng ăn đấm của tôi đó! Người
ta không được khiêu khích người khác, không được xúc phạm đến đức tin của
người khác, không được biến đức tin của người khác thành trò cười. Mỗi tôn
giáo, khi tôn trọng nhân phẩm, đều có phẩm giá của mình”.</font></p>

người ta tin rằng các tôn giáo là một loại văn hoá cấp dưới, có thể được
chấp nhận, nhưng không đáng kể gì cả”.</font></p>

chơi. Đó là những người khiêu khích người khác.”</font></p>
