vệ bằng cách xây dựng các bức tường”, chẳng hạn khi họ “tự dựng các hàng rào
bảo vệ đằng sau luật pháp, và bám víu lấy từng chữ trong nguyên văn của luật
pháp.” Đối với Đức Thánh Cha, “đây là một vấn đề bất an toàn…” Nhưng sự an
toàn về các chi tiết của luật pháp thuộc về “một căn phòng trong khám đường
đằng sau những chấn song: đây là một sự an toàn không có tự do.”</font></p>

thương thì không tự do… Tình yêu toàn hảo sẽ xua đuổi sự sợ hãi: trong tình
yêu không có sự sợ hãi, vì sự sợ hãi ngầm hiểu là có sự trừng phạt.” Sự sợ
hãi khiến cho phải nghi ngại “rằng sẽ xẩy ra một cái gì đau đớn, buồn rầu,
xô đẩy ta bước vào một đời sống xấu xa, hay là cho ta có thể mất sự cứu rỗi
vĩnh cửu.”</font></p>
