Đài Vatican có cuộc phỏng vấn với Đức Hồng Y Louis Antonio Tagle, Tổng Giám
Mục Manila, xung quanh công tác chuẩn bị ; nét đặc thù của chuyến thăm cũng
như dấu ấn từ ba chuyến thăm trước của các vị tiền nhiệm Đức Thánh Cha
Phanxicô. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Trong bối cảnh vừa mới hứng chịu sự tàn phá nặng nề của
thiên tai, Đức Hồng Y Tagle cho biết Philippines hạn chế chi phí cho khâu tổ
chức đón tiếp. Hơn nữa, chính các giám mục Hàn Quốc cũng đã chia sẻ kinh
nghiệm này. Đến nay công việc được triển khai rất tốt do « sự phối hợp nhịp
nhàng giữa chính phủ, Giáo Hội và giới tài chánh ». Đức Hồng Y Manila cho
rằng đây chính là « kết quả nhãn tiền mà chuyến thăm của Đức Thánh Cha »
mang lại. Ngài hy vọng ngay cả sau đó nữa, thành quả tốt đẹp này tiếp tục
được phát huy thể hiện qua sự hiệp thông và làm việc tập thể. </font></p>

khuôn khổ các cuộc gặp gỡ của chuyến thăm sao cho vừa tạo được dấu ấn tốt
đẹp lại vừa phù hợp với tuổi tác trên 78 của Đức Thánh Cha, vì ngài phải
thích ứng với khí hậu, múi giờ, đồ ăn…Do đó không thể nào đi lại chỗ này chỗ
kia để đáp ứng sự mong chờ của hết mọi nhóm muốn có được cuộc gặp gỡ riêng
hay muốn tặng ngài cái này cái khác. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Về trọng tâm của chuyến thăm, Đức Hồng Y Tổng Giám Mục
Manila nhấn mạnh rằng người nghèo, những ai đau khổ và giới trẻ được cho là
ưu tiên hàng đầu. Theo đó, Đức Thánh Cha sẽ có các cuộc gặp gỡ với các gia
đình, với những người trẻ để nghe họ kể về những khó khăn gặp phải, hay
những cơn bão tố khác nhau của cuộc sống mà họ đã hứng chịu để rồi họ cũng
được sự động viên an ủi từ Đức Thánh Cha. Mặt khác, Đức Hồng Y Tagle tin
rằng « chính Đức Thánh Cha cũng sẽ được củng cố trong đức tin của mình bởi
những con người nghèo khổ này ». </font></p>

» nhưng được nhìn bằng niềm hy vọng kitô giáo, vì theo Đức Hồng Y Tagle « sứ
điệp kitô giáo không dừng lại ở đau khổ, nhưng luôn luôn có một sự phục sinh.
Tôi hy vọng rằng, Hồng Y người Philippines kết luận, Đức Thánh Cha sẽ nhận
thấy điều này nơi những người đã chịu đau khổ và tiếp tục còn chịu đau khổ
