cho biết hoạt động này của Đức Thánh Cha không có trong chương trình chính
thức. Tại trung tâm trẻ bụi đời TNK-Anak, Đức Giáo Hoàng đã dành một gần một
nửa giờ với 320 trẻ em mừng vui được ngài ghé thăm với những bài hát và điệu
nhảy, những cái ôm và trao đổi những lời ngắn gọn.</font></p>

trung tâm để gặp gỡ Đức Giáo Hoàng Phanxicô. "Đó là một khoảnh khắc rất cảm
động," Cha Lombardi nói. Các em đã tặng Đức Thánh Cha những món quà nhỏ,
trong đó có một tượng Đức Mẹ bằng gỗ - một phiên bản thu nhỏ của một tượng

viết thư xin Đức Thánh Cha ghé thăm vào cuối tháng chín năm ngoái. Trong một
chuyến thăm Vatican vào đầu tháng Mười, Đức Hồng Y Luis Antonio Tagle, tổng
giám mục Manila, đã cầm theo hàng ngàn lá thư của các trẻ em bụi đời, và một
đoạn video về cuộc sống của trẻ em đường phố và trình lên Đức Thánh Cha.</font></p>
