<font face="Arial">Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đã trở lại Rome sau chuyến tông du
kéo dài một tuần của ngài tới Sri Lanka và sau đó là Phi Luật Tân. Ngài đã
đến sân bay Ciampino của Roma vào lúc 5:40 chiều thứ Hai. Như thông lệ sau
các chuyến tông du quốc tế, ngay sau khi xuống sân bay, Đức Thánh Cha đã đến
Đền Thờ Đức Bà Cả để tạ ơn trước khi trở về Vatican.</font><p>
<font face="Arial">Chiếc máy bay của Đức Thánh Cha đã cất cánh từ sân bay
Manila trong một chuyến bay gần 15 tiếng đồng hồ vào sáng sớm thứ hai, khi
hàng trăm ngàn người Phi Luật Tân xếp hàng trên đường phố thủ đô để mong gặp
Đức Giáo Hoàng một lần nữa.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Máy bay đã bay qua không phận Trung quốc, Mông Cổ, Nga,
Bạch Nga, Ba Lan, Tiệp, Áo, Slovenia trước khi vào lãnh thổ Ý. Đường bay này
dài hơn bình thường để tránh không bay ngang qua Ukraine nơi một chiếc may
của hãng hàng không Air Malaysia đã bị bắn rơi hôm 17 tháng Bẩy năm ngoái.
Đức Thánh Cha đã gởi điện chào thăm các vị nguyên thủ các quốc gia khi bay
ngang bầu trời các nước.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Trong chuyến thăm ba ngày tới quốc gia Công Giáo lớn
nhất châu Á, Đức Giáo Hoàng đã chiếm được con tim của người Phi Luật Tân khi
ngài đến thăm các thành phố Tacloban và Palo để an ủi các nạn nhân của trận
bão Hải Yến xảy ra hồi tháng 11 năm 2013.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Mặc dù thời tiết xấu, mưa nặng hạt, hơn 6 triệu người
đã có mặt trong thánh lễ cuối cùng của Đức Giáo Hoàng tại Công viên Rizal
của thủ đô Manila vào ngày Chúa Nhật 18 tháng Giêng.</font></td>
