		Jerry Bruggeman định xé mảnh giấy gói của bưu kiện ra rồi lại vụt ngừng 
		tay lại, trên 10 phút như thế ngài tự hỏi liệu mình có đủ can đảm để 
		nhìn vào một sự thật không? liệu chiếc chén lễ của ngài vẫn còn nguyên 
		vẹn một mảnh hay đã gẫy vụn, méo mó, trầy trụa?&nbsp; Chiếc đĩa thánh mà ngài 
		vẫn giữ khi chiếc chén lễ bị mất 14 năm qua đang chiếu sáng lóng lánh 
		trên bàn đợi tái ngộ với chiếc chén đồng hành.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">14 năm qua khi ngài còn phục vụ tại nhà thờ Corpus 
		Christi của Colorado Springs thì một đêm nọ kẻ gian đã đột nhập vào nhà 
		thờ và lấy đi chiếc chén lễ. Hình như đây là một sự cố tình vì ngòai 
		chiếc chén ra không một vật nào bị mất kể cả ngay cạnh đó có một chiếc 
		chén đẹp hơn.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">&quot;Thật sự, tôi không bao giờ nghĩ rằng nó sẽ được trả 
		lại,&quot; Cha Bruggeman đã nói trong một cuộc phỏng vấn ngày 7 tháng 12 với 
		tờ báo Colorado Herald, tờ báo của Giáo Phận Colorado Springs. &quot;Nó giống 
		thể là mình mất đi một người thân trong gia đình.&quot;</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Chiếc chén bạc mạ vàng là món quà của cha mẹ ngài 
		tặng làm kỷ niệm ngày ngài chịu chức linh mục tại giáo phận Pueblo. Tay 
		cầm có gắn sáu viên ngọc màu đen, và dưới đế có khắc dòng chữ: &quot;Xin Chúa 
		ban phước lành cho cha mẹ và tất cả những người đã đóng góp cho ơn gọi 
		của con. Linh mục Gerald Bruggeman, thụ phong 26 Tháng 5, 1949.&quot;&nbsp; Ngài 
		giữ chiếc chén lễ được 47 năm thì bị mất vào năm 1996. Theo lời bà thư 
		ký của giáo xứ, bà Marge Knight, thì ngày nay tuy ngài đã 87 tuổi và 
		đang nghỉ hưu nhưng vẫn thường xuyên tới dâng thánh lễ cho giáo xứ và 
		tiếp tục làm tuyên úy cho bệnh viện Penrose ở gần đó.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Bà cho biết lúc bị mất, chồng bà đã lập tức đi đến 
		các cửa hàng cầm đồ địa phương với hy vọng chuộc lại món hàng. Nhưng 
		cảnh sát cho biết một món đồ như thế không phải là loại mặt hàng thông 
		thường có thể bán. Bà thậm chí còn đăng một quảng cáo trên tờ The 
		Colorado Springs với lời hứa hẹn là &quot;không đặt câu hỏi&quot; nếu được trả 
		lại, nhưng không hề có tin tức nào cả.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Không có hy vọng tìm lại được chén thánh cũ, Cha 
		Bruggeman đã liên lạc với nhà sản xuất Beaugrand Gilles ở Montreal để 
		tìm một chén thánh thay thế nhưng nhà sản xuất đã trả lời là họ đã ngưng 
		sản xuất kiểu chén như thế.&nbsp; &quot;Tôi cảm thấy như là, &#39;Nó đã đi mãi mãi,&#39;&quot; 
		Cha Bruggeman tâm sự. Ngài nói thêm rằng nhiều đêm ngài đã ác mộng thấy 
		chiếc chén bị nấu chẩy ra để lấy bạc. &quot; Đó là nỗi sợ hãi tồi tệ nhất &quot;, 
		ngài nói.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Trớ trêu thay, chiếc chén thánh có thể đã được trưng 
		bày trên lò sưởi của một khách sạn chỉ cách nhà thờ có vài đường phố 
		trong một thời gian dài gần 14 năm.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Bỗng nhiên ngày 3 Tháng 12 vừa qua, Cha Bruggeman đã 
		nhận được một điện thoại của ông Larry Resel, một cư dân của Las Animas, 
		nói rằng ông đã tìm thấy chiếc chén thánh và đã gửi cho ngài qua đường 
		bưu phẩm ngày hôm đó. </font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Larry Resel từng là một mục sư Tin Lành đã trở về với 
		đạo Công Giáo năm 2009, ông thường tìm mua đồ cổ và sau đó rao bán trên 
		Ebay để lấy lời. Ông cho biết đã mua được chiếc chén thánh tại một cửa 
		hàng bán đồ cổ ở Fowler một vài ngày trước đó với giá 12 đô. Người bán 
		hàng biết rằng ông Resel hay mua những đồ vật Công Giáo cho nên đã gói 
		kỹ chiếc chén thánh đợi ông đến.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Sau khi nhìn thấy tên của vị linh mục khắc dưới đế 
		của chiếc chén, ông Resel đã dùng Google để tìm và biết được địa chỉ 
		hiện tại của Cha Bruggeman, ông lập tức gởi lại cho ngài làm quà Giáng 
		Sinh.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Chiếc chén thánh đến nhà Cha Bruggeman vào ngày 4 
		tháng 12, được bọc cẩn thận trong lớp đệm vỏ đậu phộng. Tuy nhiên, Cha 
		Bruggeman nói rằng ngài không dám mở hộp, sợ rằng sẽ thấy chiếc chén 
		thánh trong một tình trạng tơi tả của nhiều năm &#39;bụi đời.&#39;</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">&quot;Tôi đã có một thời gian khó khăn trước khi mở hộp, 
		tự hỏi nếu nó có còn là một mảnh không,&quot; ngài nói.</font></p>

		<font face="Arial">Tả cảnh lúc ngài mở hộp ra, cô cháu gái của ngài là 
		Carol Lutz cho biết ngài đã &#39;ngây ngất&#39; khi nhìn thấy chiếc chén thánh 
		hoàn toàn nguyên vẹn, 6 viên ngọc vẫn còn đó.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Qua lời bà chủ hàng đồ cổ ở Fowler tên là Tammy 
		Harris thì một phụ nữ giấu tên đã mang đến cho bà món đồ này vào ngày 18 
		tháng 11 vừa qua. Người phụ nữ ấy cho biết vào năm 1997, khi bà đi chơi 
		rừng với con trai ở chân núi Manitou Springs thì nhìn thấy một cái gì đó 
		lấp lánh trong đám bùn. Họ đào lên và phát hiện ra chiếc chén thánh và 
		mang nó về nhà.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Sau đó, họ mở một &#39;khách sạn với bữa ăn sáng&#39; (B&amp;B) 
		tại trung tâm thành phố Colorado Springs lấy tên là khách sạn Chén 
		Thánh, họ trưng bày chiếc chén thánh trên lò sưởi của phòng tiếp khách.</font></p>
		<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Khi họ đóng cửa cơ sở khách sạn, chiếc chén thánh
