<font size="3">Hôm 30 tháng 11 năm 2010, lễ kính thánh Anrê Tông Ðồ, bổn
mạng của Giáo Hội Chính Thống Constantinople, Tòa Thánh đã cử phái đoàn
đến tham dự đại lễ này tại Tòa Thượng Phụ Chính Thống ở Istanbul Thổ Nhĩ
Kỳ.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Theo truyền thống từ nhiều thập niên qua, vào dịp lễ bổn
mạng, thánh Phêrô và Phaolô 29 tháng 6 và thánh Anrê 30 tháng 11, hai
Giáo Hội Công Giáo và Chính Thống đều gửi phái đoàn đến tham dự lễ của
nhau và bày tỏ tình huynh đệ và ước mong hiệp nhất trọn vọn với Giáo Hội
anh em.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Năm nay (2010), Phái đoàn Tòa Thánh do Ðức Hồng Y Kurt
Koch, người Thụy Sĩ, Chủ tịch Hội đồng Tòa Thánh Hiệp nhất các tín hữu
Kitô, hướng dẫn lần đầu tiên, cùng với Ðức Cha Brian Farell, Tổng thư
ký. Ngoài ra, có Ðức Tổng Giám Mục Antonio Lucibello, Sứ thần Tòa Thánh
tại Thổ nhĩ kỳ. Ðoàn đã tham dự thánh lễ trọng thể do Ðức Thượng Phụ
Barlolomaios I cũng là Giáo chủ danh dự chung của Chính Thống giáo, chủ
sự tại Nhà thờ Thượng Phụ ở Fanar.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Phái đoàn Tòa Thánh đã gặp gỡ Ðức Thượng Phụ và chuyển
đến ngài sứ điệp của Ðức Thánh Cha Biển Ðức 16, trong đó Ðức Thánh Cha
nhận xét rằng: "Lễ kính Thánh Tông đồ năm nay trùng vào một ngày trong
lịch phụng vụ của Ðông và Tây Phương. Lễ này là một lời mời gọi mạnh mẽ
hãy canh tân lòng trung thành với giáo huấn của các Tông Ðồ và trở thành
những người rao giảng không biết mệt mỏi về niềm tin nơi Chúa Kitô bằng
lời nói và cuộc sống chứng tá".</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Ðức Thánh Cha viết tiếp: "Lời mời gọi ấy ngày nay trở nên
cấp thiết hơn bao giờ hết. Trong một thế giới ngày càng lệ thuộc và liên
đới với nhau, chúng ta được kêu gọi công bố với một xác tín được đổi
mới, chân lý Tin Mừng và trình bày Chúa Kitô Phục Sinh như câu trả lời
cho những vấn nạn sâu xa nhất và những khát vọng tinh thần của con người
ngày nay.. Ðể thành công trong công tác lớn lao ấy, chúng ta phải tiếp
tục tiến bước trên con đường hướng về sự hiệp thông trọn vẹn, chứng tỏ
đã liên kết những cố gắng của chúng ta để cùng làm chứng cho Tin Mừng
trước mặt con người thời nay".</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Ðức Thánh Cha cũng nhắc đến những sinh hoạt đại kết gần
đây giữa Công Giáo và Chính thống như Diễn đàn kỳ II giữa Công Giáo và
Chính Thống tại đảo Rodi bên Hy Lạp hồi tháng 10 năm nay về đề tài
"Tương quan giữa Giáo hội và Nhà Nước, các viễn tượng thần học và lịch
sử". Ngài cũng đề cao những nỗ lực của Ðức Thượng Phụ Bartolomaios I
nhắm mưu ích cho toàn Chính Thống giáo và thăng tiến các giá trị Kitô
trong nhiều môi trường quốc tế". (SD 30-11-2010)</font></tr>
