Ngài bầy tỏ tình thân hữu với các kitô hữu bị kỳ thị và đàn áp<br>

Thứ bẩy 25 tháng 12, 2010 (Le Monde vu de Rome) – Trong thông điệp
Giáng Sinh gửi cho thế giới, Đức Thánh Cha Benedict XVI đã kêu gọi
phải tôn trọng quyền tự do tôn giáo và bầy tỏ tình tương thân tương
trợ với các kitô hữu, nạn nhân của các vụ kỳ thị và đàn áp. <br>
<br>
Trước hàng vạn người tụ tập tại quảng trường Thánh Phêrô mặc dầu
trời mưa để lãnh nhận phép lành “urbi et orbi”, và nhiều triệu người
trên thế giới đã lắng nghe và theo dõi trực tiếp trên đài truyền
hình, đài phát thanh hay mạng lưới toàn cầu, Đức Thánh Cha đã gửi
những lời chúc mừng Giáng Sinh bằng 65 thứ tiếng, từ khán đài cao
nằm ngay giữa mặt tiền của Vương Cung Thánh Đường Thánh Phêrô.<br>
<br>
Trong điệp văn Giáng Sinh, được đọc trước lúc ban phép lành, Đức
Thánh Cha đã nhắc đến các dân tộc bị thảm hại vì thiên tai hay bạo
lực: từ Đất Thánh và Iraq cho đến Haïti và nhiều quốc gia Châu Mỹ La
Tinh; từ Afghanistan và Pakistan đến các quốc gia Châu Phi đang có
chiến tranh; từ sự căng thẳng giữa hai quốc gia Bắc và Nam Hàn cho
đến tình trạng khó khăn của các kitô hữu tại Trung Quốc.<br>

Đức Thánh Cha đã chúc lành: “Xin tình yêu của “Thiên Chúa ở cùng anh
chị em” ban sự kiên trì cho tất cả các cộng đồng kitô hữu đang chịu
đau khổ vì bị kỳ thị và áp bức, và thúc đẩy các chính trị gia có
trách nhiệm can thiệp vào việc hoàn toàn tôn trọng quyền tự do tôn
giáo của tất cả mọi người.”<br>

Đức Thánh Cha Benedict XVI đã nói: “Ước gì việc cử hành Lễ Giáng
Sinh của Đấng Cứu Thế sẽ tăng cường tinh thần đức tin, đức kiên nhẫn
và can đảm nơi các tín hữu của Giáo Hội tại Đại Lục Trung Quốc, để
họ không nản lòng vì những hạn chế đối với quyền tự do tôn giáo và
lương tâm của họ, và họ sẽ kiên trì trong việc trung thành với Chúa
Kitô và Giáo Hội của Người, để họ duy trì cho ngọn lửa hy vọng được
luôn luôn sống động.”.<br>

Đức Thánh Cha giải thích: Giáng Sinh “là một nguyên cớ để tất cả
những ai có nhân phẩm bị bóc lột và bôi nhọ có niềm hy vọng, vì Đấng
sanh ra tại Bê Lem đã dến để giải phóng con người khỏi gốc rễ của
mọi hình thức nô lệ.” <br>

Đức Thánh Cha sau đó hướng về nơi Chúa Giêsu sanh ra và cầu chúc là
“ánh sáng Giáng Sinh” lại chiếu lên rực rỡ và thúc đẩy “người Do
Thái và Palétin trong việc tìm kiếm một hình thức sống chung hòa
bình và công chính.”<br>
<br>
Ngài tiếp: “Ước gì lời công bố an ủi đến từ Đấng Emmanuen xoa dịu
những đớn đau và nâng đỡ các cộng đồng kitô yêu quý tại Iraq và trên
khắp Miền Trung Đông, và ban cho họ sự an hòa và niềm hy vọng cho
tương lai, và khuyến khích các giới chức có trách nhiệm tại các quốc
gia có những hành động tương trợ đối với họ.”<br>
<br>
Ngài nói tiếp: “Chớ gì điều này cũng đến được đối với những người
dân tại Haïti, hãy còn đang đau khổ vì hậu quả của trận động đất
khủng khiếp, và nạn dịch tả mới đây. Chớ gì những người dân khác
cũng không bị quên lãng tại Colombia, và Venezuela, cũng như tại
Guatemala và Costa Rica, nơi cũng có những nạn thiên tai mới xẩy ra
gần đây.” <br>
<br>
Sau đó Đức Thánh Cha Benedict XVI cầu chúc “một nền hòa bình bền
vững” và một “sự tiến bộ đích thực” tại Somalie, tại Darfour, và tại
Côte d'Ivoire, “một tình trạng chính trị và xã hội vững vàng” tại
Madagascar, một “nền an ninh và sự tôn trọng nhân quyền” tại
Afghanistan và Pakistan, một “cuộc đối thoại” giữa Nicaragua và
Costa Rica, và “sự hòa giải” tại bán đảo Đại Hàn. </font></div>
