Theo thông cáo của văn phòng Trung ương Caritas Việt Nam, kể từ ngày
1 tháng Giêng năm 2011, LM. Antôn Nguyễn Ngọc Sơn, hiện đang giữ
chức Tổng Thư Ký Ủy Ban Bác Ái Xã Hội và Giám Đốc Caritas Việt Nam,
sẽ được chuyển sang làm Tổng Thư Ký Ủy Ban Công Lý và Hòa Bình do
Đức Cha Phaolô Nguyễn Thái Hợp phụ trách.<br>

Theo văn thư của ĐGM Nguyễn Thái Hợp gửi ĐGM Nguyễn Chu Trinh, lý do
LM. Antôn Nguyễn Ngọc Sơn được yêu cầu giữ chức Tổng Thư Ký Ủy Ban
Công Lý và Hòa Bình là vì <i>“ Uỷ Ban Công Lý và Hòa Bình mới được
thành lập, chưa có văn phòng, cũng như nhân sự, nhưng lập tức phải
đối diện với những vấn đề chính trị - xã hội rất nhạy cảm. Chính vì
vậy để có thể chu toàn sứ vụ của mình trong giai đoạn khó khăn này,
Uỷ Ban Công Lý và Hòa Bình cần một Tổng Thư Ký có kinh nghiệm và bản
lãnh.”</i><br>

Cũng theo thông cáo nói trên, LM. Vinh Sơn Vũ Ngọc Đồng S.D.B., sau
khi được Đức Hồng y Gioan Baotixita Phạm Minh Mẫn cho phép, đã được
Đức cha Đa Minh Nguyễn Chu Trinh chỉ định làm Tổng Thư ký Ủy Ban Bác
Ái Xã Hội và Giám Đốc Caritas Việt Nam thay LM. Antôn Nguyễn Ngọc
Sơn. </font></div>
