Tây Ban Nha, ngày 10 Tháng Mười Hai năm 2010 (ZENIT) - Ban tổ chức Đại
hội Giới trẻ Thế giới 2011 (WYD) tại Madrid đang có nhiều phương tiện,
bao gồm cả các trang mạng xã hội như Facebook, để thu hút người tham gia
sự kiện này. Hơn 200.000 người đang theo dõi tin tức của WYD trên
Facebook với 20 ngôn ngữ; và hơn một triệu người đã truy cập trang web
chính thức của sự kiện này trên Internet.</font></p>
<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
<font face="Arial">Thông qua các phương tiện đó, các bạn trẻ có thể nhận
được tin tức cập nhật của WYD và gửi ý kiến của họ về những vấn đề liên
quan. Hai ngôn ngữ mới nhất vừa được tích hợp trên trang Facebook là
tiếng Lỗ Ma Ni và tiếng Hung Gia Lợi.</font></p>
<p style="margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
<font face="Arial">Cristina del Campo, người quản lý truyền thông của
WYD 2011, giải thích rằng, "các thiện nguyện viên là những người đã đề
nghị mở các trang này theo ngôn ngữ của họ, quản trị trang web, thông
dịch các văn bản mà chúng tôi gửi cho, và quản lý những thay đổi thường

chú ý. Ví dụ như là tuyển lựa các câu hay nhất nằm trong sứ điệp của Đức
Giáo Hoàng gửi cho WYD. Độc giả chọn ra câu ưa thích của họ, ai nhận
được sự đồng thuận lớn nhất từ những người khác thì được trao tặng cặp
vé ở hàng ghế đầu trong đêm canh thức và Thánh lễ Bế mạc WYD tại phi
trường Cuatro Vientos.</font></p>

<font face="Arial">Hiện nay đang có 70 thiện nguyện viên phụ trách trang
web, thông dịch và trả lời các câu hỏi phát sinh thông qua Facebook. Họ
cũng tương tác với người tham dự sự kiện này từ quốc gia bản xứ của họ.
WYD Madrid còn có mặt trong các mạng xã hội hàng đầu như: Orkut ở Ba
Tây, Mixi tại Nhật Bản; Tuenti ở Tây Ban Nha, và Vkontakte ở Nga. Hơn
nữa, tin tức của sự kiện cũng được truyền đi thông qua Twitter cho 5.600
người theo dõi, trên YouTube với gần 400.000 lượt coi video, và trên
Flickr với hơn 57.000 lượt coi. </font></p>

<font face="Arial">Ngoài các mạng xã hội, WYD cũng đã có mặt trên
Internet thông qua trang web chính thức. Kể từ ra mắt vào Tháng Mười năm
2009, lượt truy nhập vào trang web đã tiếp tục gia tăng, hiện nay là một
triệu lượt. Trang web này đã nhận được 4 triệu lượt tra cứu của độc giả,
họ quan tâm được chủ yếu trong việc tổ chức sự kiện, lịch trình của tuần
lễ diễn ra đại hội và việc ghi danh. Đã có 200.000 người xác nhận là họ
sẽ đến WYD Madrid. Quốc gia đang có nhiều người ghi danh nhất là Pháp,
với hơn 45.000 người tham dự, theo sau là Ý với hơn 41.000, Tây Ban Nha
với 25.000 và Hoa Kỳ với trên 13.000. </font>
