<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Đại hội toàn quốc lần
thứ tám của <span style="font-style: italic">Hội Công giáo Yêu nước
Trung Hoa (CPCA)</span> đã khai mạc tại Bắc Kinh chiều hôm qua, thứ Ba
7-12, tại khách sạn Hữu Nghị, thuộc huyện Haidian. Mục tiêu của Đại hội
là “ủng hộ lòng yêu nước và các nguyên tắc của Giáo Hội độc lập, chống
lại các lực lượng bên ngoài và đoàn kết tất cả các giáo sĩ và giáo dân
đi theo con đường xã hội xã hội chủ nghĩa.” </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Trong thuật ngữ của
Cộng sản Trung Quốc, “độc lập” có nghĩa là tự trị và tách khỏi Roma.
“Lực lượng bên ngoài” muốn nói đến Vatican và Tòa Thánh, mà khi thi hành
sứ vụ của mình, Tòa thánh can tội “gây ảnh hưởng thực dân quá đáng” đối
với Giáo Hội Trung Quốc, theo nhận định của Hội Công giáo Yêu nước Trung
Hoa. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Phó chủ tịch CPCA, ông
Liu Bainian đã chủ trì phiên khai mạc của Đại hội. Đức cha Fang Xinyao,
giám mục Lâm Nghi (Sơn Đông) đọc diễn văn khai mạc; Đức cha Ma Yinglin,
giám mục Côn Minh (Vân Nam) đọc một bản báo cáo về các hoạt động của
Hội; Đức cha Zhan Silu của Mindong (Phúc Kiến) giải thích các bản
<span style="color: black">tu chính</span> quy chế của CPCA và của Hội
đồng Giám mục. Cả hai giám mục Ma và Zhan đều được phong chức bất hợp
pháp. </span></font></p>

<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Trong Thư gửi người
Công giáo Trung Quốc, Đức Thánh Cha Bênêđictô XVI nói rằng Hội Công giáo
Yêu nước Trung Hoa, Hội đồng Giám mục Trung Hoa cũng như Đại hội các đại
biểu Công giáo là các tổ chức có mục tiêu “không thể dung hợp” với đức
tin Công giáo. Vì thế, Tòa thánh Vatican<span style="color: black">,
trong một thông cáo ban hành hồi tháng Ba</span>, đã khuyến cáo các giám
mục Trung Quốc không được tham dự sự kiện tương
<span style="color: black">tự<span style="font-style: italic"> (Thông
cáo tháng Ba yêu cầu các giám mục ‘tránh có những cử chỉ, ví dụ như việc
cử hành các bí tích, tấn phong các giám mục, tham dự các cuộc họp, vốn
đi ngược lại sự hiệp thông với Đức Giáo Hoàng’)</span>.</span></span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Trong bốn năm qua, Đại
hội đã phải hoãn lại vì các giám mục chính thức từ chối tham gia, theo
các chỉ thị của Tòa Thánh. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Theo Ban Tôn giáo Nhà
nước Trung Quốc (SARA), có 341 người từ 31 tỉnh, khu tự trị và thành phố
tham dự Đại hội, bao gồm 64 giám mục, 162 linh mục, 24 nữ tu và 91 giáo
dân. Không rõ con số 64 là các giám mục được mời hay giám mục tham dự
Đại hội. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Một số giám mục đã lánh
mặt hoặc cáo bệnh để tránh phải đi Bắc Kinh. Các giám mục khác đã bị các
quan chức chính phủ ép buộc tham dự. Một số khác biết rằng không thể từ
chối, nên vẫn đến tham dự nhưng từ chối đồng tế Thánh Lễ vì có sự hiện
diện của các giám mục bị vạ tuyệt thông. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Zhu Weiquan thuộc
<span style="color: black">Ban chấp hành</span> Mặt trận Thống nhất,
Wang Zuo’an, giám đốc SARA, và Giang Yongjian, phó giám đốc, đã có mặt
tại lễ khai mạc. Trong bài phát biểu, Wang ca ngợi Đảng Cộng sản và
chính phủ đã thể hiện sự tôn trọng Công giáo và các quyền lợi của người
Công giáo Trung Quốc. Các lãnh đạo của các tổ chức Tin lành, Phật giáo,
Lão giáo và Hồi giáo cũng có mặt. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Tại Hong Kong, các
thành viên của Ủy ban Công lý và Hòa bình đã tổ chức một cuộc biểu tình
bên ngoài Văn phòng Liên lạc của Trung Quốc. Cuộc biểu tình tố cáo Đại
hội vi phạm giáo luật Công giáo và phá hoại sự tự do và sinh hoạt bình
thường của Giáo Hội Công Giáo. </span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Họ cũng lưu ý rằng
chính quyền Trung Quốc đã sử dụng bạo lực và áp lực để ép buộc các giám
mục và giáo dân tham dự Đại hội, cô lập hoặc bắt giam một số người, vi
phạm tự do tôn giáo và quyền của người Công giáo Trung Quốc.</span></font></p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" class="MsoNormal">
<font face="Arial"><span style="font-size: 12pt">Ủy ban đã kêu gọi trả
tự do cho các giáo sĩ bị giam giữ, gồm Đức cha Su Zhimin, giám mục giáo
phận Bảo Bình, Đức cha Shi Enxiang, giám mục giáo phận Yixian và các
linh mục Lu Genjun, Ma Wuyong và Liu Honggeng. </span></font></p>
