		Bênêđictô XVI đã thực hiện 17 chuyến tông du nước ngoài&nbsp;: Đức (hai lần&nbsp;: 
		tại đại hội quốc tế giới trẻ ở Cologne và tại Bavière), Ba Lan, Tây Ban 
		Nha, Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ, Brazil, Áo, Hoa Kỳ, Úc, Pháp, Châu Phi (Camerun và 
		Angola), Israël và Gior-đa-ni, Cộng Hòa Séc, Maltô, Bồ Đào Nha, Đảo Síp 
		và Anh quốc.</font></p>
		<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">Ngài đã nói về những chuyến tông du này trong cuốn 
		«&nbsp;Ánh sáng của thế gian&nbsp;» như sau&nbsp;:</font></p>
		<p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
		<font face="Arial">«&nbsp;Những cuộc tông du lớn đã là những cuộc gặp gỡ quan 
		trọng với các nền văn hóa khác nhau và tiếp tục sản sinh ra những hiệu 
		quả. Chúng không phải là những «&nbsp;shows&nbsp;» biểu diễn lớn nào đó. Khi tôi 
		nghĩ đến phong trào mà cuộc gặp gỡ với các giám mục Brazil đã khởi 
		động&nbsp;! (…) Cũng thế ở Hòa Kỳ, Pháp, Bồ Đào Nha. Những cuộc tông du khác 
		đã sinh ra một hiệu quả tốt&nbsp;: ở Cộng Hòa Séc, ở Áo, Bà Lan, với tất cả 
		sự sinh động mà chúng tôi đã thấy ở đó, dĩ nhiên ở Áo, Châu Phi, nơi mà 
		sự năng động của niềm vui thực sự đã có một hiệu quả lan truyền (…).</font></p>

		<font face="Arial">Dĩ nhiên, đôi khi tôi lo nghĩ và tự hỏi liệu tôi sẽ

		cuộc tông du dù sao vẫn luôn đóng góp nhiều. Sự sợ sệt, nói đúng ra, tôi 
		không có, vì mọi sự đã được chuẩn bị tốt rồi. Tôi biết rằng tôi không 
		nói nhân danh riêng tôi, tôi chỉ hiện diện ở đó nhân danh Chúa – và tôi 
		không cần phải tự hỏi liệu tôi làm tốt mọi sự hay không, liệu tôi có vẻ 
		lúng túng không, liệu tôi được cảm kích không, và những điều như thế. 
		Tôi thực hiện sứ mạng đã được giao phó cho tôi, ý thức làm điều đó nhân 
		danh một người khác, và người khác này cũng đảm bảo cho tôi (…).&nbsp;»</font></td>
