trong cuốn sáh mới của người, rằng Giáo Hội không có thẩm quyền
truyền chức linh mục cho nữ giới. Người bác bỏ ý tưởng rằng quy định
nầy được thành hình chỉ vì giáo hội bắt nguồn từ một xã hội gia
trưởng. <br>

ĐTC nói: ” Giáo Hội không có thẩm quyền truyền chức linh mục cho nữ
giới. Vấn đề không phải là chúng tôi nói chúng tôi không muốn,nhưng
là chúng tôi không thể”. Đức Thánh Cha nói thêm: "Điều nầy đòi hỏi
sự vâng lời của các tín hữu Công giáo ngày nay. Sự vâng lời nầy có
thể hết sức khó khăn trong tình hình ngày nay,nhưng ní quan trọng
cho Giáo Hội để chứng minh cho thấy chúng ta không phải là một chế
độ dựa trên sự cai trị độc đoán. Chúng ta không thể làm những gì
chúng ta muốn”. <br>

Trong cuốn sách nầy, Đức Thánh Cha trả lời cho lập luận rằng việc
truyền chức giới hạn cho người nam mà thơi, vì các nữ linh mục là
điều không tưởng cách nay 2.000 năm. Đức Thánh Cha trả lời: ” Đây là
sự vô nghĩa, vì thế giới lúc bấy giờ có đầy các nữ linh mục. Tất cả
các tôn giáo đều có các nữ tư tế và điều gây ngạc nhiên là họ không
có mặt trong cộng đồng của Chúa Giêsu Kitô”. Đây không phải là một
sự phân biệt đối xử, vì “nữ giới có một ý nghĩa cao cả đến nỗi trong
nhiều lãnh vực họ làm nên hình ảnh của Giáo Hội hơn là nam giời” và
đưa ra gình ảnh Mẹ Têrêxa. </div>
