Cha Biển Ðức 16 kêu gọi toàn thể các tín hữu Công Giáo cầu nguyện cho
Giáo Hội tại Trung Quốc sau vụ Nhà Nước tại đây tổ chức cuộc truyền chức
Giám Mục bất hợp pháp hôm 20 tháng 11 năm 2010.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Ngỏ lời với các tín hữu hàng hương vào cuối buổi tiếp
kiến chung sáng mùng 1 tháng 12 năm 2010, tại Ðại thính đường Phaolô 6,
Ðức Thánh Cha nói:</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">"Tôi xin anh chị em và các tín hữu Công Giáo trên toàn
thế giới cầu nguyện cho Giáo Hội tại Trung Quốc, như anh chị em biết,
Giáo Hội này đang trải qua thời điểm đặc biệt khó khăn. Chúng ta hãy cầu
xin Ðức Mẹ Maria là Ðấng Phù trợ các tín hữu Kitô, nâng đỡ tất cả các
Giám Mục Trung Quốc rất yêu quí đối với tôi, để các vị can đảm làm chứng
đức tin của mình, đặt mọi hy vọng nơi Ðấng Cứu Thế chúng ta đang mong
đợi. Ngoài ra, chúng ta hãy phó thác tất cả các tín hữu Công Giáo tại
Trung Quốc yêu quí, để nhờ lời chuyển cầu của Ðức Mẹ, họ có thể thực
hiện một cuộc sống Kitô hiệp thông với Giáo Hội hoàn vũ, và qua đó góp
phần vào sự hòa hợp và công ích của dân tộc Trung Quốc cao quí".</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Vụ truyền chức Giám Mục bất hợp pháp đã diễn ra ngày 20
tháng 11 năm 2010 tại Huyện Thừa Ðức, tỉnh Hà Bắc: Linh Mục Giuse Quách
Kim Tài (Guo Jincai), Phó tổng thư ký Hội Công Giáo yêu nước Trung Quốc,
đã thụ phong Giám Mục mà không hề được sự phê chuẩn của Tòa Thánh để thụ
phong. Có 8 Giám Mục đã dự lễ tấn phong này cùng với 500 tín hữu. Nhiều
vị bị nhà nước cưỡng bách.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Mặc dù có lời cảnh cáo hôm 18 tháng 11 năm 2010 của Tòa
Thánh, lễ truyền chức này vẫn được tiến hành, do sự xếp đặt của ông Lưu
Bách Niên, 80 tuổi, từ gần 30 năm nay làm chủ tịch Hội Công Giáo yêu
nước Trung Quốc. Sau vụ này, Tòa Thánh đã mạnh mẽ lên án vụ truyền chức.
