ngày 2-12-2010 dành cho tân đại sứ Hungari cạnh Tòa Thánh, ông Gàbor
Gyorivanyi đến trình quốc thư, ĐTC cổ võ bảo vệ hôn nhân và gia đình
truyền thống.<br>
<br>
Tân đại sứ Gyorivanyi năm nay 50 tuổi, nguyên là lãnh sự Hungari tại
Nhật Bản.<br>
<br>
Ngỏ lời trong buổi tiếp kiến, ĐTC đề cao vai trò của hôn nhân và gia
đình như một nền tảng quan trọng để có sự phát triển lành mạnh cho xã
hội dân sự. Ngài nói: ”Âu Châu sẽ không còn là Âu Châu nữa nếu tế bào cơ
bản của việc xây dựng xã hội bị biến mất hoặc bị biến thái bản chất. Tất
cả chúng ta đều biết rằng hôn nhân và gia đình ngày nay đang bị đe dọa,
một đàng do sự hao mòn các giá trị thâm sâu nhất là sự bền vững và bất
khả phân ly, do hiện tượng quyền ly dị ngày càng được tự do và gia tăng,
cũng như vì thói quen ngày càng phổ biến nam nữ sống chung mà không có
hình phức pháp lý và sự bảo vệ nào dành cho hôn nhân; đàng khác hôn nhân
và gia đình bị lâm nguy vì những thứ kết hợp khác không có nền tảng
trong lịch sử văn hóa và pháp luật của Âu Châu”.<br>

ĐTC cũng nhấn mạnh rằng: ”Giáo Hội không thể chấp nhận những sáng kiến
luật pháp bao hàm việc đề cao giá trị những kiểu mẫu sống đôi lứa và gia
đình khác với gia đình và hôn nhân truyền thống. Những kiểu mẫu này góp
phần làm suy yếu các nguyên tắc của luật tự nhiên, và qua đó tương đối
hóa toàn thể luật pháp, cũng như sự ý thức về các giá trị trong xã hội”.<br>
<br>
Từ ngày 1-1-2011 tới đây, Hungari sẽ làm Chủ tịch Liên hiệp Âu Châu
trong vòng 6 tháng. ĐTC mời gọi quốc gia này hãy trở thành người ”trung
gian” giữa Đông và Tây Phương, để hai miền này nâng đỡ và làm cho nhau
được phong phú nhờ gia sản tinh thần và văn hóa của mình. (SD 2-12-2010)</tr>
