<font face="Arial">Hôm 18-12-2010, Sứ điệp của ĐTC Biển Đức 16 nhân ngày
Thế giới các bệnh nhân 11-2 năm 2011 đã được công bố với chủ đề ”Từ
những vết thương của Chúa anh chị em được chữa lành” (1 Pr 2,24).<br>
<br>
Trong Sứ điệp ĐTC cảnh giác rằng ”Một xã hội không biết chấp nhận những
người đau khổ và không có khả năng góp phần nhờ lòng từ bi làm cho đau
khổ được chia sẻ và chịu đựng cả trong nội tâm, thì đó là một xã hội tàn
ác và vô nhân đạo” (Spe salvi 38).<br>
<br>
ĐTC cũng cho biết mỗi giáo phận sẽ đề ra những sáng kiến nhân ngày thế
giới các bệnh nhân nhắm làm cho việc săn sóc những người đau khổ được
hữu hiệu hơn. Ngài cũng loan báo Ngày Thế Giới các bệnh nhân sẽ được cử
hành trọng thể vào năm 2013 tại Đền thánh Đức Mẹ Altoetting ở miền nam
Đức.<br>

Sứ điệp của ĐTC cũng trình bày một số suy niệm về cuộc khổ nạn của Chúa
Kitô đi từ hình ảnh trong khăn liệm thánh ở thành Torino và ngài nhắn
nhủ anh chị em bệnh nhân rằng: ”Khi sống lại, Chúa không bước bỏ đau khổ
và sự ác khỏi trần thế, nhưng ngài đã chiến thắng chúng tận gốc rễ. Ngài
đã đặt sự toàn năng của tình yêu thương đối nghịch với quyền lực của sự
ác. Qua đó, Chúa chỉ cho chúng ta con đường an bình và vui tươi, đó là
Tình Thương... Chúng ta hãy noi theo Thầy Chí Thánh trong thái độ sẵn
sàng hiến mạng sống mình vì anh chị em chúng ta (1 Ga 3,16), trở thành
những sứ giả của một niềm vui không sợ đau đớn, niềm vui Phục Sinh..”<br>

ĐTC cũng khẳng định rằng Thiên Chúa, là Sự Thật và Tình Thương, đã muốn
chịu đau khổ cho chúng ta và với chúng ta. Người đã trở thành người để
có thể cảm thông, cùng chịu đau khổ với con người, một cách cụ thể,
trong thân thể. Trong mỗi đau khổ của con người, có Đấng đi vào để chia
sẻ đau khổ và chịu đựng, trong mỗi đau khổ có niềm an ủi của tình thương
tham phần của thiên Chúa.. Anh chị em thân mến, tôi lập lại cho anh chị
em sứ điệp này để anh chị em trở thành những chứng nhân của Chúa qua đau
khổ, qua cuộc sống và đức tin của anh chị em”. (SD 18-12-2010)</font></td>
