<font size="3">Các tín hữu Kitô Ấn độ đánh dấu "Ngày giải phóng người
tiện dân".</font></p>

<font size="3">Hôm thứ Hai mùng 6 tháng 12 năm 2010, các tín hữu Kitô Ấn
độ đã mừng "Ngày giải phóng các tiện dân", tức những người thuộc giai
cấp cùng đinh.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Biến cố này do Hội đồng Giám mục Ấn độ và Hội đồng các
Giáo hội Kitô tại Ấn độ đồng tổ chức để gây ý thức nơi các tín hữu Kitô
về tình trạng bất công của các tín hữu Kitô và người Hồi giáo thuộc giai
cấp cùng đinh.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Mục sư Vincent, một nhà chuyên môn trong lãnh vực này,
nói rằng các tín hữu Kitô thuộc giai cấp cùng đinh là những người phải
chịu nhục nhã nhiều nhứt. Khác với các tín đồ Ấn giáo thuộc giai cấp
cùng đinh, các tín hữu Kitô thuộc giai cấp này không được bảo vệ về mặt
luật pháp và bị bách hại. Phần lớn đều bị cô lập. Không có Giáo hội và
bên ngoài Giáo hội, họ không có bất cứ một quy chế chính trị, kinh tế
hay xã hội nào.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" align="justify">
<font size="3">Các tín hữu Kitô thuộc giai cấp cùng đinh chiếm đến 70
phần trăm con số tín hữu Kitô tại Ấn độ, bất luận thuộc Giáo hội nào.</font> </tr>
