ấy vào khoảng quá không giờ ngày mồng 6 tháng 1 năm 1937. Trong một căn
phòng của tu hội Thánh Giá tại Montréal, Canada, ánh sáng lu mờ của ngọn
đèn dầu để ta nhận thấy một vị tu sĩ già ngoài 90 tuổi đang hấp hối.

<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Bên cạnh,
một tu sĩ trẻ đang quỳ cầu nguyện trước tòa Thánh Cả Giuse đặt ngay bên
giường bệnh nhân. Nghe tiếng thở yếu đuối và khó nhọc của thầy dòng già,
thầy trẻ đứng dậy, ghé xuống an ủi:</span></p>

thầy, em vừa được lên Thiên đàng về. Bên cạnh Thánh Cả Giuse, em thấy
một ngai tòa rực rỡ không thể tả. Em hỏi thì Thánh Cả trả lời là dành để
cho thầy đấy.</span></p>

0 giờ 50 phút.</span></p>

<font size="4">Thầy dòng già nhận mình là con chó con của Thánh
Cả giuse đó là Chân Phúc Anrê, một vị đại tông đồ của Thánh Cả
Giuse trong thời đại chúng ta. Chân phúc sinh ngày 9 tháng 8 năm
1845 tại làng Saint Grégoire d’Iberville, Canada.</font></td>

<font size="4">Mồ côi cha từ nhỏ, Chân phúc được bà mẹ đảm đang tần tảo
nuôi dạy rất tốt lành theo tinh thần đạo đức. Sau một thời gian lưu lạc
lầm than, năm 23 tuổi, Anrê đến giúp việc cha sở Provencal. Nhờ cha chỉ
dẫn mà Anrê có lòng sùng kính Thánh Cả Giuse đặc biệt, và được ơn gọi
vào Dòng Thánh Giá (Congrégation de la Sainte Croix).</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Vì sức
khỏe kém, lại thất học, nên Anrê phải nài nẵng mãi mới được nhận vào bậc
trợ sĩ. Sau khóa tập, thầy Anrê được trao cho việc coi cổng trường học
Trái Tim Ðức Mẹ. Thầy thường đùa:</span></p>

năm tập thì Bề trên đuổi tôi ra cổng, và tôi cứ ở lì đó chẵn bốn mươi
năm, chẳng chịu đi đâu.</span></p>

việc đón dẫn khách, thầy còn kiêm nhiều việc khác như: lau cửa, quét
nhà, trồng hoa, bổ củi, cắt tóc cho học trò… Việc nào thầy cũng làm vui
vẻ noi gương Thánh Cả Giuse và nếu tiện dịp, cũng chen mấy lời khuyên
giục người đối thoại kính tôn Thánh Cả.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify; margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Sứ mạng
làm tông đồ Thánh Cả Giuse ấy, thầy Anrê cứ âm thầm theo đuổi một cách
nhẫn nại, khiêm nhu. Nhưng một ngày kia, nó đã rực lên trong vinh quang
sáng sủa: thầy được làm nhiều phép lạ nhân danh Thánh Cả Giuse. Bình
nhật, thầy vui vẻ ôn tồn; nhưng nếu có ai sơ ý xin thầy làm phép lạ mà
không nói đến Thánh Cả Giuse, thì thầy phát cáu. Lúc nghĩ lại, thầy phàn
nàn:</span></p>

nóng tính quá! Nhưng ai bảo họ cứ nói liều! Thánh Giuse làm phép lạ chứ
tôi có làm được bao giờ!</span></p>

sinh bị cảm sốt, nằm li bì đã mấy ngày. Giờ chơi hôm đó, thầy Anrê lẻn
vào phòng bệnh, mỉm cười bảo:</span></p>

sinh đứng bật dậy, chạy ra nhảy như cào cào. Thầy giám thị sửng sốt.
Biết là thầy giữ cổng bắt cậu ra chơi, thầy giám thị tới hỏi lý do. Thấy
Anrê gãi đầu thưa:</span></p>

đến khám đi khám lại, chẳng thấy cậu ta có bệnh nào cả.</span></p>

hai người đàn ông vực môt thiếu phụ vào cổng trường, gặp thầy đang lau
nền nhà. Thầy ngẩng đầu lên hỏi:</span></p>

thầy, chân tôi bị tê liệt không đi được. Nhân danh Thánh Giuse, xin thầy
chữa cho.</span></p>

cứ đi đi! Hai ông kia, bỏ ra cho bà ấy đi!</span></p>

bước một bước, hai bước… dễ dàng. Thầy Anrê cứ vừa lau nhà mà vừa nói:</span></p>

về đi. Khỏi rồi đó.</span></p>

thầy lấy một mẫu ảnh Thánh Cả Giuse, hoặc chút dầu ở đèn đốt trước tòa
Thánh Cả, xoa bóp cho bệnh nhân, thì bệnh nhân nào cũng khỏi. Lần thì
thầy nhìn mặt bệnh nhân chống nạng mà ra lệnh: “Thôi, đưa nạng đây!” Rời
nạng khỏi tay, bệnh nhân chạy như nai về nhà. Có lần thầy bắt bệnh nhân
phải đi xưng tội rước lễ mới khỏi bệnh. Hỏi ra mới biết bệnh nhân đó đã
25 năm không xưng tội rước lễ.</span></p>

Ðức Giám Mục Montréal một lần đến thăm trường Trái Tim Ðức Mẹ, đã chỉ
lên những nạng, những gậy, những bảng tạ ơn treo kín tường nhà nguyện
Thánh Giuse mà nói:</span></p>

nhân danh Thánh Cả Giuse, đã xảy ra muôn vàn phép lạ. Nếu ta chối bỏ thì
những đồ này sẽ lớn tiếng phản đối ta.</span></p>

việc thi thố phép lạ cứu chữa hồn xác, thầy Anrê còn dựng được một nhà
thờ bằng đá rất to, rất đẹp ở ngay trên ngọn núi Montroyal. Nhà thờ đó
ngày nay trở nên trung tâm kính viếng của toàn thể Mỹ châu bắc. Rất
nhiều ơn lạ vẫn tiếp tục được ban xuống tại đây. Ngày nay, cũng chính
tại đây phát xuất công trình nghiên cứu về Thánh Giuse theo thần học,
gọi là khoa thần học về Thánh Cả Giuse (Josephologia).</span></p>

biết rằng, đám tang Chân phúc Anrê năm 1937, có trên một trăm ngàn người
đến dự, gồm đủ cả các giới: Hồng y, Giám mục, linh mục, tu sĩ, công
chức, quân nhân, giáo hữu… đông đảo và sốt sắng.</span></p>
