<b> </b><span lang="DE">Ngày lễ Sinh nhật Đức Trinh nữ gắn liền với việc
cung hiến mộït Đền thờ được xây cất tại Giêrusalem vào thế kỷ thứ V, nơi
theo truyền thống cho là nhà của ông Gioan Kim và bà Anna, gần nơi hồ
tắm Bethzatha (Ga 5,1-9). Tức là nơi các tín hữu cho là nhà Đức Mẹ được
sinh ra. Từ thế kỷ thứ XII, ngôi đền thờ được gọi là Đền thờ thánh Anna,
rồi sau đó được dâng kính cho ngày Sinh nhật của Đức Maria.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
<span lang="DE">Lễ Sinh nhật Đức Trinh nữ được bắt nguồn bên Đông
phương ở thế kỷ thứ VI và được Đức Giáo Hoàng Serge I đưa vào cử hành
tại Rôma, với cuộc rước kiệu đi từ thánh đường thánh Adrien gần Forum đi
đến Đền Đức Bà Cả.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
<span lang="DE">Ý lễ được lấy ra từ các Ngụy Thư như <i>Tiền Tin Mừng
thánh Giacôbê, Tin Mừng của Mátthêu mạo danh, </i>và<i> Tin Mừng về cuộc
sinh hạ của Đức Maria</i> mà người ta gán cho thánh Jérôme là tác giả.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0">
<span lang="DE">Bên Đông phương lễ Sinh nhật Đức Trinh nữ được cửû hành
đầu tháng 9 khai mạc năm Phụng vụ. Tại Rôma, lễ được cử hành dưới thời
Giáo Hoàng Octave IV vào năm 1243 với tuần Bát nhật; rồi sau đó Đức Giáo
Hoàng Grégoire XI còn thêm vào đêm Canh thúc vào năm 1378.</span></td>
