mươi năm trôi qua nhưng nội dung của Sứ điệp đầu tiên, năm
1967 của Chân phước Giáo hoàng Phaolô VI, vẫn còn nguyên
tính thời sự: “Hoà bình là hướng đi duy nhất đích thực của
sự phát triển con người – chứ không phải là những căng thẳng
tạo ra do những thứ chủ nghĩa quốc gia đầy tham vọng, cũng
như những cuộc chinh phục bằng bạo lực, hoặc những cuộc đàn
áp nhân danh trật tự xã hội giả tạo” (<i>Sứ điệp</i></span></font><span style="color: rgb(52, 52, 52); line-height: 21px"><font style="font-size: 14pt">,
số 1). Có lẽ được gợi hứng từ khẳng định căn bản này cũng
như từ thực tế mà thế giới đang đối diện, chủ đề của Sứ điệp

đến bất bạo động, người ta dễ nghĩ đến những khuôn mặt nổi
bật như Mahatma Gandhi và Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan trong công
cuộc giải phóng Ấn Độ, hoặc mục sư Martin Luther King trong
phong trào chống phân biệt và kỳ thị chủng tộc tại Hoa Kỳ.
Đúng thế, nhưng đừng quên rằng chính Đức Giêsu Kitô mới là
đấng khơi nguồn cho chủ trương bất bạo động: “Khi Người ngăn
cản những kẻ tố cáo định ném đá người phụ nữ bị bắt vì phạm
tội ngoại tình (x. Ga 8,1-11), và trong đêm Người bị bắt,
khi Người ra lệnh cho Phêrô xỏ gươm vào bao (x. Mt 26,52),
Chúa Giêsu đã mở ra con đường bất bạo động. Người đã bước đi
trên con đường đó đến cùng, đến tận thập giá, ở đó Người trở
thành sự bình an và chấm dứt mọi hận thù (x. Eph 2,14-16)” (<i>Sứ

Chính vì thế, tất cả những ai mang danh Kitô hữu phải là
người thực hành bất bạo động: “Ngày nay, để là những môn đệ
đích thực của Chúa Giêsu, phải ôm ấp giáo huấn của Chúa về
bất bạo động… Với các Kitô hữu, bất bạo động không chỉ là
một ứng xử mang tính chiến thuật nhưng là một lối sống, là
thái độ của một người xác tín vào tình yêu và quyền năng của
Thiên Chúa đến nỗi không sợ hãi đối diện với sự ác bằng vũ
khí của tình yêu và chân lý mà thôi… Mệnh lệnh ‘Hãy yêu
thương kẻ thù’ (x. Lc 6,27) phải được xem như hiến chương
của bất bạo động Kitô giáo. Điều đó không có nghĩa là bị
khuất phục trước cái ác nhưng là lấy sự lành đáp lại điều ác
(x. Rm 12,17-21) và do đó, bẻ gẫy dây chuyền của bất công” (<i>Sứ

thế, trong thời điểm hiện nay, khi đang có những cuộc khủng bố
được dán nhãn tôn giáo, Đức Giáo hoàng Phanxicô có những khẳng
định thật mạnh mẽ trước toàn thế giới: “Không có tôn giáo nào là
khủng bố cả”; “Không thể lấy Danh Chúa để biện minh cho bạo lực.
Chỉ có hoà bình là thánh thiện. Chỉ có hoà bình mới được gọi là
thánh, không có chiến tranh nào là thánh cả!” (</font></span><font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="color: black; line-height: 21px"><i>Diễn

Chúa Giêsu là đấng khơi nguồn lối sống bất bạo động, nên để sống
tinh thần bất bạo động cách đích thực, hãy lắng nghe giáo huấn
và chiêm ngắm cách hành xử của Người. Theo Chúa Giêsu, bạo động
hay hoà bình đều bắt nguồn từ trong lòng người: “Chính từ bên
trong, từ lòng người, mà những ý định xấu xuất hiện” (Mc 7,21).
Thế nên, phải bắt đầu xây dựng hoà bình từ bên trong. Phải gieo
vãi và ươm trồng hạt giống hoà bình trong tâm hồn. Những phát
minh và tiến bộ kỹ thuật, dù tinh vi đến đâu, cũng chỉ là phương
tiện. Cội rễ chiến tranh hay hoà bình là ở trong lòng người:
“Thật khó để biết rằng thế giới chúng ta hiện nay có nhiều hay
ít bạo lực hơn quá khứ, hoặc những phương tiện truyền thông hiện
đại và sự năng động ngày nay có làm cho chúng ta ý thức hơn về
bạo lực không, hay ngược lại, còn làm gia tăng bạo lực” (</font></span><font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="color: black; line-height: 21px"><i>Sứ
điệp</i></span></font><font style="font-family: FontStyle, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black; line-height: 21px"><font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="color: black; line-height: 21px">,
số 2). Người ta vẫn nhắc đến câu châm ngôn “Muốn có hoà bình,
hãy chuẩn bị chiến tranh”. Sẽ thật tuyệt vời nếu hiểu câu nói
này từ góc nhìn nội tâm: hãy chiến đấu và chiến thắng những mầm
mống tội lỗi trong tâm hồn, hoà bình sẽ xuất hiện trong mọi
tương quan của đời sống xã hội.<br>

hay hoà bình đều bắt nguồn từ bên trong, và vì thế, phải gieo
vãi và vun trồng hạt giống hoà bình trong tâm hồn từ tấm bé, vậy
còn nơi nào lý tưởng hơn môi trường gia đình để làm công việc
này? Vì gia đình là nơi vợ chồng, cha mẹ và con cái, anh chị em,
học biết chia sẻ và quan tâm đến nhau. Gia đình là nơi những va
chạm, kể cả xung đột, được giải quyết không phải bằng bạo lực
nhưng bằng đối thoại, tôn trọng, thương xót và tha thứ (x.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><i>Sứ
điệp</i></font></span><font style="font-family: FontStyle, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="color: black; line-height: 21px"><font style="font-size: 14pt" face="Times New Roman">,
số 5). Một khi đã cảm nhận được tình yêu thương, mối quan tâm,
lòng quảng đại và sự tha thứ trong bầu khí gia đình, người ta
cũng sẽ bước vào đời với tâm hồn rộng mở, biết sẻ chia và nâng
đỡ tha nhân hơn là chỉ hành động theo bản năng bạo lực.</font></span></font></p>

ba năm 2017-2019, người Công giáo Việt Nam được mời gọi quan tâm
đặc biệt đến đời sống gia đình. Ước gì mỗi gia đình Công giáo
thực sự là cái nôi bình an và cống hiến cho đời những sứ giả hoà
bình: “Trong gia đình, chúng ta không cần đến bom đạn để hủy
hoại hay phục vụ hoà bình – chỉ cần ở với nhau, yêu thương nhau…
