giáo, con đường dẫn đến hoà bình”, đó là đề tài mà
Đức Thánh Cha đã chọn cho Ngày thế giới hoà bình
2011. Lần này, chủ đề được nhấn mạnh là tự do tôn
giáo, một đề tài luôn có tính thời sự, khi mà ngày
nay trên thế giới, đang tồn tại những hình thức hạn
chế hay phủ nhận sự tự do tôn giáo, thậm chí đi đến
chỗ bách hại và bạo lực chống lại các tôn giáo thiểu
số.</strong></p>
<p style="text-indent: 0em; font-weight: bold !important; text-align: justify; margin: 1em 0px; padding: 0px">
<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Thông cáo
loan báo đề tài cho thấy: “Sự tự do của các tự do
này là đích thực khi nó phù hợp với việc tìm kiếm
chân lý và với chân lý về con người. Khuôn mẫu này
đề nghị cho chúng ta một tiêu chí nền tảng để phân
định hiện tượng tôn giáo và những biểu hiện của nó…
Vì tất cả những gì đối nghịch với phẩm giá con người
đều đối nghịch với việc tìm kiếm chân lý và không
thể được xem như là tự do tôn giáo.”</strong></p>

nhắc lại lời tuyên bố của Đức Thánh Cha tại Liên
Hiệp Quốc: “Các quyền con người cũng phải bao gồm cả
quyền tự do tôn giáo, được hiểu như một sự diễn tả
chiều kích vừa cá nhân và cộng đoàn – một viễn tượng
vừa làm nổi bật sự hiệp nhất của con người, đồng
thời lại phân biệt rõ ràng giữa chiều kích công dân
và chiều kích tín hữu.” Tại đây, Đức Thánh Cha cũng
cảnh giác thái độ loại bỏ chiều kích tôn giáo của
con người và đồng thời cho thấy “tự do tôn giáo là
con đường dẫn đến hoà bình”.</strong></p>
