Kitô”</span></p>

<span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Không phải sự
đau khổ của Đức Kitô đã cứu chúng ta, nhưng là tình yêu mà thánh giá là dấu
hiệu. "Không có tình yêu nào cao trọng hơn là hiến mạng sông mình cho những
người mình yêu". Khi tôn kính thánh giá Đức Kitô, là chúng ta tôn thờ tình
yêu Người. Chúng ta chính xác khẳng đinh điều đó trong kinh Tạ ơn của thánh
lễ, lúc chúng ta cừ hành cái chết và sự sông lại của Chúa, khi vị chủ tế
đọc: "Khi kính nhớ cuộc Khổ nạn sinh ơn cứu độ"ẻ Cuộc Khố nạn không chỉ đơn
giản là lúc đóng đinh, mà là trọn cuộc sống hăng say tình yêu của Đức Kitô.
Trong Tin Mừng Thánh Gioan, "Giờ của Đức Kitô" tóm tắt lại và hoàn thành tất
cả sứ vụ của Đấng được Chúa Cha sai đi. Trên thánh giá, Đức Giêsu trao lại
hơi thở của Người cho trái đất và từ cạnh sườn bị đâm thâu, vọt ra nước và
máu sẽ nuôi dưỡng Giáo Hội.</span></p>

<span style="line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Chúng ta đừng
sợ nhìn các thánh giá của chúng ta. Các thánh giá chúng ta mang trên mình,
các thánh giá treo trên các bức tường nhà, hay ở các ngã ba đường, và hơn
thế nữa, các thánh giá mà chúng ta mang trong tâm hồn. Chính trong ánh sáng
của thánh giá Đức Kitô mà chúng ta sẽ tìm được những con đường hy vọng.</span></p>
