Maria, xin cầu cho chúng con!</span></p>

hiện diện khi Đức Kitô tắt thở và Mẹ cũng trung thành có mặt lúc chúng ta
chết. Không có gì ngạc nhiên khi Giáo Hội cho chúng ta trong kinh "Kính mừng
Maria", lời cầu này: "Cầu cho chúng con khi nay và trong giờ lâm tử". Có hai
thời điểm quan trọng của cuộc đời chúng ta, là thời gian hiện tại và cuộc
vượt qua của chúng ta. Chúng ta hãy đế lại quá khứ cho lòng thương xót, và
tương lai cho lòng tin cậy. Chết là "giò" của chúng ta, theo câu nói thân
mật của thánh Gioan. Như Đức Giêsu, chúng ta cũng sẽ có giờ của chúng ta:
giờ vượt qua từ thế giới này sang thế giới kia. Không phải là cái chết sẽ
đôn trước, mà là chính Thiên Chúa sẽ dẫn đưa chúng ta. Thánh Grignion de
Montfort còn táo bạo hơn, khi Ngài cho rằng ngày chúng ta tắt thở sẽ là
"ngày chúng ta sinh ra thực sự". Rửa tội là thụ thai vào sự sông Thiên Chúa;
cuộc sông của chúng ta trên trái đất, sự thai nghén được Đức Maria đi cùng,
và cái chết của chúng ta là một cuộc sinh ra thực sự... Trong mọi trường
hợp, theo truyền thông, chúng ta cầu xin Đức Trinh Nữ Maria cách riêng cho
những người hâp hôi, giao phó họ cho lời bầu cừ có thê'lực và đầy tình mâu
tử của Mẹ...</span></p>
