Các bí tích của Hội Thánh truyền ban cho các tín hữu tình yêu cứu chuộc và sự sống th</span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">ần</span><span lang="VI" style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif"> linh này cho đến ngày tận thế. Chúa Kitô mong mu</span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">ố</span><span lang="VI" style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">n các giám mục, linh mục, phó tế, mỗi người tùy theo thứ bậc của mình, là những thừa tác viên trung thành của các bí tích. "Đặc tính" được ban cho các linh mục qua bí tích truyền chức thánh làm cho họ có đủ tư cách để cử hành các mầu nhiệm Chúa Kitô một cách hợp thức và có hiệu lực... Để trở nên một người thánh thiện, linh mục không đơn giản chỉ mang tình yêu Chúa Kitô dành cho con người trong trái tim mình mà còn phải nỗ lực để yêu tình yêu cứu chuộc như Chúa. Sự hiệp thông giữa Trái tim Thánh</span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif"> của </span><span lang="VI" style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">Chúa Kitô và trái tim của linh mục làm cho thừa tác vụ linh mục trổ sinh nhiều hoa trái. Tình yêu này của người linh mục, là sự tràn đầy của tình yêu Chúa Kitô, là Đầu và là Đấng Cứu Chuộc Hội Thánh, được gọi là mục vụ đức ái. Nó vừa là sự trao ban </span><span style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">sự </span><span lang="VI" style="font-family: Arial,sans-serif">sống và tình yêu trong Trái tím Chúa Kitô, vừa là con đường thánh hóa người linh mục trong thừa tác vụ của họ.
