Mẹ Maria là giáo hội vô nhiễm nguyên tội, Đấng điều khiển mọi sự hiệp thông thánh và thánh hóa tất cả những gì mà kẻ tội lỗi chúng ta gây nên. Mẹ Maria chắc chắn chưa lãnh nhận Bí tích hòa giải nhưng chưa có ai bộc lộ sự sâu kín của tâm hồn mình cho Chúa như Mẹ, không chỉ lúc này hay lúc khác nhưng trong mọi giây phút của cuộc đời Mẹ. Chính vì điều này mà Hội Thánh xem Mẹ là "Tòa Khôn Ngoan".
