Chỉ có tình yêu mới có thể ban tặng một tiến trình hoàn toàn mới mẻ cho một
hiện hữu: chỉ tình yêu mới có thể làm cho chúng ta tồn tại và sống trọn một
cuộc đời dưới dấu chỉ của sự hiệp nhất và vĩnh cửu... Tình yêu là thực tại
duy nhất có thể "hiệp nhâ't" một đời sống...</span></p>

Hiển nhiên sự hiệp nhất và tính vĩnh cửu này tương xứng với đối tượng của

<span class="GramE">Tính hiệp nhất, vĩnh cửu và liên tục thuộc về con người
nếu tình yêu có nhân loại tính; tính hiệp nhất, vĩnh cửu, liên tục và tồn
tại thuộc về Thiên Chúa nếu tình yêu có thiên tính.</span></span></p>

Nhưng điều đó không mấy hệ trọng, điều chính yếu là nhận biết rằng chỉ tình
yêu mới có thể làm cho chúng ta tồn tại, và vì thế hãy biết rằng, nếu chúng
ta muốn đáp trả lời mời gọi Thiên Chúa đã nói với chúng ta, điều xứng hợp là
phải làm sao cho tình yêu ấy trở nên sống động trong chúng ta và trở nên
chiến thắng dần dần; vì thế "nếu anh em ở lại trong Thầy"... và "Thầy ở
trong anh em"... thì sẽ có trong con người và trong cuộc sống của chứng ta
một hạt giống trường tồn, một nguyên lý bất tử, chúng ta sẽ được tham dự vào
sự sống của Đấng trường tồn muôn đời.</span></p>
