Cần phải nhắc lại rằng khi viết Tin Mừng và sách Công Vụ, thánh Luca đã viết
hết sức cẩn thận, nhân vì tầm quan trọng ngài dành cho mục đích của cuốn
sách: đó là Tin Mừng của Đức Giêsu Kitô. <span class="GramE">Như vậy, ngài
đã hoàn thành một tác phẩm văn chương thực thụ để nói với những người đương
thời của ngài bằng ngôn ngữ của họ.</span> <span class="GramE">Chính vì tầm
quan trọng này mà việc tìm kiếm sự thật được thực hiện.</span></span></p>

Thánh Luca tiến hành công việc này một cách nghiêm ngặt qua việc tra vấn các
chứng nhân của thế hệ đầu tiên, những người tận mắt nhìn thấy Chúa, có cả Mẹ
Đức Giêsu và các ông Giacôbê, Simon và Giuđa, và cùng với họ là cả Hội Thánh
Giêrusalem, những người đầu tiên còn giữ những tư tưởng và những kỷ niệm về
Đức Giêsu người Nazarét. <span class="GramE">Tóm lại, thánh Luca đã đi đến
tận nguồn ngọn, cũng như tận gốc các tài liệu, như chính ngài đã khẳng định
cách mạnh mẽ.</span> <span class="GramE">Ngài đã trở thành sứ giả và thần
học gia, để làm nên tính đáng tin cậy của Tin Mừng cho những người nghe hôm
nay.</span> Noi gương ngài, chúng ta cũng hãy tin tưởng vào sứ điệp và con
người của Chúa Giêsu, trong việc nói ngôn ngữ của thế hệ chúng ta.</span></p>
