là Cha và là Ðấng Cứu Chuộc chúng con: danh Chúa đã có từ muôn đời. Lạy
Chúa, tại sao Chúa để chúng con đi lạc xa đường Chúa, và làm cho tâm hồn
chúng con trở nên chai đá, không còn biết kính sợ Chúa nữa? Vì các tôi
tớ Chúa, các chi tộc thừa hưởng gia nghiệp Chúa, xin hãy đoái nhìn lại.</span></p>

Chúa. Chúa đã ngự xuống và các núi đồi rung chuyển trước tôn nhan Chúa.
Ðó là việc từ xưa đến nay chưa từng có ai nghe thấy; lạy Chúa, không tai
nào nghe thấy không mắt nào nhìn thấy một chúa nào khác ngoài Chúa đã
dành những hồng ân cho những ai trông đợi Chúa. Chúa đã đón tiếp kẻ hân
hoan thi hành công lý, và nhớ đến Chúa khi đi trong đường lối Chúa.</span></p>

tránh được những bất trắc có thể xảy tới. Bài Tin Mừng hôm nay Chúa
Giêsu dặn các môn đệ hãy tỉnh thức và cầu nguyện. Nhưng tỉnh thức là thế
nào?</span></p>

đi cái chết; chúng con thường đánh lừa mình bằng những ý nghĩ ấu trĩ.
Chúng con tưởng chúng con chưa có thể chết khi chúng con còn đầy sức
mạnh. Chúng con tưởng chúng con còn lâu mới chết khi chúng con vẫn còn
tươi trẻ.</span></p>

Người cũng đang có đây, mỗi ngày, đang gõ cửa lòng chúng ta và xin chúng
ta dành chỗ cho Người trong đời sống chúng ta. Chúng ta sẽ nhận ra Người
không, hay để mình phải bất ngờ thấy Người đến ?</span></p>

đặc biệt ngắn. Bốn lần trong vài câu ngắn ngủi của tác giả Máccô, Đức
Giêsu dùng từ «canh thức». Lời mời gọi khẩn trương. Mùa Vọng là thời
gian trông chờ. Là thời gian nghiêm trọng cho các lính canh, cho những
ai sống trong đó như một cơ hội để lòng mong ước phát sinh và khởi sắc.</span></p>
