trích đoạn Tin Mừng của Thánh Mátthêu hôm nay nói về tha
thứ. Một chuyên viên thuế khóa nên sở trường về nợ nần
và tha thứ, chính vì thế, ông đã ghi lại câu hỏi của
Phêrô với Thầy mình về vấn đề này: “Lạy Thầy, khi anh em
xúc phạm đến con, con phải tha thứ cho họ mấy lần? Có
phải đến bảy lần không?” Và Chúa Giêsu đã trả lời: “Ta
không bảo con phải tha đến bảy lần, nhưng đến bảy mươi
lần bảy.”</span></font></p>

nhau đến bảy mươi lần bảy.” Đây là một đòi hỏi quá cao
đối với quan niệm bác ái lúc bấy giờ. Thông thường lời
dạy của các Rabbi là từ 2-3 lần. Tha như vậy là đủ. Việt
Nam ta cũng có quan niệm tương tự: “Qúa tam ba bận”.
Nhưng đối với Thiên Chúa thì hành động tha thứ mà con
người dành cho nhau như vậy là chưa đủ. Điều này càng
trở nên quan trọng hơn khi con người xúc phạm đến Ngài,
làm những điều tội lỗi mà giới răn Ngài đã cấm không
được làm, những lỗi lầm ấy làm sao có thể đền trả? Ai sẽ
tha những món nợ tinh thần này? Để có thể hiểu được sự
tha thứ Thiên Chúa dành cho con người, cũng như sự tha
thứ mà con người cần phải có đối với nhau, Chúa Giêsu đã
dùng hình ảnh so sánh do Thánh Mátthêu đã ghi lại qua ý
nghĩa của dụ ngôn sau:</span></font></p>

khả năng trả. Nhưng sự tha thứ mà hai con nợ nhận được
lại rất khác nhau. Ông vua tha hết. Tha vô điều kiện.
Người bạn kia bắt nhốt bạn mình vào tù cho đến khi trả
xong nợ.</span></font></p>

thêm về tầm quan trọng và giá trị các món nợ, cũng như
khả năng người trả nợ, chúng ta cũng nên biết những món
nợ ấy nếu tính theo thời giá bây giờ như thế nào. Theo
đó, món nợ mà người thường dân nợ ông vua có giá
trị bằng tiền nhân công của 200.000 năm, tương đương với
60 triệu ngày làm, và khoảng 3, 48 tỷ đồng. Còn nợ mà
người này cho bạn mình vay chỉ tương đương 4 tháng
lương, trị giá 5.800 đồng. Một sự khác biệt quá lớn, và
quá khác nhau.</span></font></p>

nghĩa của dụ ngôn này không liên quan đến vấn đề nợ nần
và tiền bạc. Ý chính của nó là mặc khải cho con người
biết về lòng nhân lành vô biên của Thiên Chúa. Từ đó,
chúng ta mới nhận ra rằng việc con người xúc phạm đến
Ngài thật quá lớn lao, rất phạm thượng, vô phép và không
gì có thể đền đáp được, ngoại trừ tình thương tha thứ
của Ngài. Đây cũng là lý do đã khiến Ngôi Hai Thiên Chúa
phải từ trời xuống thế và chịu chết để đền thay cho nhân
loại. Mầu nhiệm Nhập Thể được tìm thấy từ ý nghĩa của dụ
ngôn này.</span></font></p>

lỗi lầm mà con người đối với nhau tuy có gây ra những
tổn thất nặng nề về tài sản, tinh thần, tâm lý và thể

và tha thứ, bởi vì: “Nhân vô thập toàn”. Tuy nhiên,
những điều này không thể đem so sánh với những việc

người đầy tớ mắc nợ, và người này trở thành chủ nợ, Chúa
Giêsu muốn dạy chúng ta là trước những lỗi phạm đến
Thiên Chúa và anh chị em mình, con người phải thống hối
ăn năn, kêu van lòng thương xót của Ngài. Đối với những
món nợ mà con người mắc với Thiên Chúa, tự chúng ta,
chúng ta không thể đền trả được. Nếu không van xin Ngài,
tội chúng ta vẫn còn đó. Nhưng để được Ngài tha thứ,
việc đầu tiên phải làm là thống hối ăn năn, đến với Phép
Giải Tội. Bí Tích Hòa Giải là nơi mà con người cần tìm
đến để xin ơn tha thứ.</span></font></p>

khi Thiên Chúa đã tha cho chúng ta thì sao? Dĩ nhiên,
chúng ta phải xin sự tha thứ của tha nhân. Chúng ta cũng
phải tha cho nhau nữa. Dụ ngôn hôm nay lập lại lời kinh
mà Chúa Giêsu đã dạy: “Xin tha nợ chúng con, như chúng
con cũng tha kẻ có nợ chúng con.” (Mt 6:12) Nợ đây gồm
cả nợ vật chất lẫn tinh thần. Và để đi vào chi tiết thực
tế, qua những gì được ghi lại trong Thánh Kinh, chúng ta
phải tha thứ cho nhau không chỉ 1, 2 hoặc 3 lần, hoặc
như Phêrô đã đề nghị là 7 lần, mà 70 lần 7 có nghĩa là
490 lần cho một người khi họ xúc phạm đến ta theo như
Chúa Giêsu đã dạy.</span></font></p>

qua bài Tin Mừng hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu muốn nhắc nhở chúng
ta điều này, đó là món nợ mà con người mắc với Thiên
Chúa thì vô cùng lớn lao, và không thể trả nổi. Không có
gì đền trả nổi. Nhưng một điều xem như trái với suy nghĩ
của con người, là thay vì bắt trả nợ, hàng ngày Thiên
Chúa vẫn luôn yêu thương, quan phòng, săn sóc và ban
nhiều ơn phúc cho chúng ta. Vậy chúng phải làm gì với
anh chị em mình mỗi khi họ xúc phạm đến chúng ta?</span></font></p>
