niệm trích đoạn Tin Mừng hôm nay (Luca 16:1-13), chúng
ta thấy Thánh Luca đã vẽ lên chân dung một người quản
gia khôn lanh, mưu mẹo. Ông đã dùng tất cả những thủ
đoạn để trục lợi và sống cho cá nhân mình, đúng với suy
nghĩ và quan niệm “khôn ngoan thế gian”. Những gì ông
toan tính và những gì ông làm ngay cả đến Chúa Giêsu
cũng cảm thấy phải thán phục. Và Ngài đã có lời khen
ông: <i>“Quả thế, con cái đời này khôn ngoan hơn con cái
ánh sáng khi xử sự với người đồng loại.”</i>(8)</span></font></p>

ngoan” mà Chúa dùng để khen viên quản gia ở đây là gì?
Là khéo léo, hơn người trong cách cư xử? Là quỉ quyệt,
thâm độc? Là ranh mãnh, mưu kế? Những cách mà ông này đã
dùng để đối đãi với những con nợ của chủ ông. Nhưng đó
là cung cách suy nghĩ và lối sống của người đời, của con
cái thế gian. Phần những người con cái Thiên Chúa - con
cái ánh sáng - Ngài muốn chúng ta chuyển đổi cách suy
nghĩ và hành động ấy để phù hợp với nước trời. Bằng

trường hợp người quản gia đây, ông biết rõ khả năng của
mình là gì, và ở những điểm nào. Chính ông đã tự nhận

thuộc thành phần chân lấm, tay bùn, những người vô gia
cư sống ngoài lề xã hội. Ông cũng có chút văn hóa, địa
vị, và để sống sót thì ông chỉ còn cách sử dụng mánh
lới, sự khôn khéo, và mưu kế. Ông đã lợi dụng hoàn cảnh
và địa vị còn lại để “đi đêm”, và để “hối lộ” với những
con nợ của chủ. </span></font></p>

con người ngắn ngủi, đời sống chóng qua. Nếu như không
cẩn thận, không tận dụng, chúng ta sẽ dễ rơi vào tình
trạng biếng nhác, hoặc để mình sa vào những cám dỗ làm
điều gian dối, sống và chạy theo những đam mê, dục vọng,
tìm kiếm sự giầu sang thế gian mà quên mất hạnh phúc
nước trời. Chúa Giêsu biết rõ điều này, nên Ngài đã dùng
hình ảnh người quản gia bất trung để cảnh cáo: <i>“Phần
Thầy, Thầy bảo cho anh em biết: hãy dùng tiền của bất
chính mà tạo lấy bạn bè, phòng khi hết tiền hết bạc, họ
sẽ đón rước anh em vào nơi ở vĩnh cửu.”</i> (9)</span></font></p>

bất chính đối với chúng ta bây giờ gồm những của cải vật
chất, những tài năng, vốn liếng tinh thần, thể xác, và
sự sống. Bạn bè sẽ đón rước chúng ta vào nơi ở vĩnh cửu
đó là những việc lành phúc đức, những hành vi bố thí,
công đức, và thời gian, sức lực mà chúng ta đã hy sinh
vì Chúa và vì tha nhân. Trước ngưỡng cửa đời đời tất cả
những gì thuộc về thế gian đều không có giá trị và phải
bỏ lại hết. Chúng ta chỉ có thể đem vào nơi vĩnh cửu
(Thiên đàng) những ơn phúc, những việc lành đã làm khi

Chúa Giêsu lại đem ra so sánh giữa Ngài và tiền của: <i>“Anh
em không thể vừa làm tôi Thiên Chúa, vừa làm tôi tiền
của được.”</i></span><span style="font-size:18.0pt;color:red"> </span><span style="font-size:18.0pt;
color:#222222">(13)<b> N</b>hư Ngài đã nói trước khi giải thích về những của cải
bất chính và những bạn hữu nước trời, do đó, sự so sánh
này chỉ mang ý nghĩa tượng trưng. Dầu vậy, ở một nghĩa
nào đó, tiền của, sự giầu sang thế gian luôn là sức hút,
hấp dẫn, và cám dỗ khó lòng từ chối. Nói về điều này,
hẳn là Chúa Giêsu muốn nhắc nhở chúng ta về cơn cám dỗ
mà Satan đã thử thách Ngài trên đỉnh núi cao. Tại đó, nó
cho Ngài xem tất cả mọi vinh quang trần thế và đề nghị
Ngài sấp mình thờ lạy nó. Trước lời mời gọi và cám dỗ,
Chúa Giêsu đã đáp lại: <i>“Satan hãy cút đi. Vì có lời
chép rằng: ‘Chỉ thờ lạy Thiên Chúa là Chúa ngươi, và chỉ
phụng sự một mình Ngài.”</i> (Mt 4:10) Ở đây hình ảnh
của Satan gắn liền với vinh quang trần thế và sự giầu
sang thế tục, khiến chúng ta nhiều lúc tưởng lầm hắn là
chúa, và phủ phục, thờ lạy.</span></font></p>
