font-weight:normal">Đọc trích đoạn Tin Mừng của Thánh Mátthêu hôm nay, chúng ta
có cảm tưởng là thánh ký mang cái bệnh nghề nghiệp khi
viết những dòng này. </span></strong><span style="font-size:18.0pt;color:#222222">Trong
khi vừa đề cập đến thái độ buồn bã của các môn đệ vì
nghe Chúa Giêsu nói đến những gì sẽ xảy ra cho Ngài, ông
đã chuyển đề tài qua thuế khóa. Với kinh nghiệm nghề
nghiệp của <strong><span style="font-weight:normal">một
nhà thu thuế, ông xem ra rất chi ly, tính toán và quan
tâm đến những bổn phận xã hội của người thụ thuế. Ông đã
ghi lại câu truyện Chúa Giêsu và các Tông Đồ liên quan
đến việc phải đóng thuế một cách rất tỉ mỷ, chi tiết.
Nhưng nếu để tâm suy nghĩ kỹ lưỡng về những gì được
trình bày trong đoạn Phúc Âm này, điểm chính không phải
là việc thuế khóa, mà là một hình ảnh tốt lành của những
người con Chúa. </span></strong></span></font></p>

font-weight:normal">Tại sao chúng ta lại suy nghĩ như vậy? Thưa đó chính là Chúa
Giêsu đã nhân cơ hội bị chất vấn về nộp thuế, một hình
thức đòi hỏi và trách nhiệm của luật lệ để hé lộ cho
chúng ta về hình ảnh những người con cái của Thiên Chúa,
cũng như về tình thương mà Ngài dành cho con cái của
Ngài. Thánh Mátthêu ghi lại câu hỏi của Chúa Giêsu đã
hỏi ông Phêrô:</span><span style="font-size:18.0pt;color:#222222"> </span></strong><span style="font-size:18.0pt;color:#222222">“Anh
Simon, anh nghĩ sao? Vua chúa trần gian bắt ai đóng sưu
nộp thuế? Con cái mình hay người ngoài?” Rồi <strong><span style="font-weight:normal">cũng
luôn cơ hội trả ấy, Ngài khẳng định: </span></strong>“Vậy
thì con cái được miễn.”</span></font></p>

trong nhà được miễn thuế. Dĩ nhiên là thế. Có người con
nào phải trả cho cha mẹ mình đồng thuế nào cho công sinh
thành, nuôi dưỡng, và dạy dỗ đâu? Con cái của Chúa cũng
vậy. Họ được sống trong tự do, hạnh phúc và tận hưởng
mọi phúc lộc phát xuất từ tình yêu của Ngài. Không ai
phải đóng thuế cho những điều này, bởi vì Thiên Chúa là
Đấng tạo dựng vũ trụ. Ngài là chủ mọi loài trên trời
dưới đất. Và trên hết, Ngài là Cha của chúng ta: “Lạy
Cha chúng con ở trên trời” (Mt 6:9). Qua hình ảnh cha
con này, Chúa Giêsu muốn nhắc nhở chúng ta về vai trò
làm con Thiên Chúa của mình. </span></font></p>

người có hồn và có xác, có đời sống tâm linh và cũng có
cuộc sống trần thế. Chính vì vậy qua câu truyện đóng
thuế này, Chúa dạy chúng ta phải sống thế nào như những
người con cái Thiên Chúa, Đấng ngự trên trời. Chính Chúa
Giêsu cũng đã sống và hành động như thế. Mang thân phận
con người, dù là Con Thiên Chúa, “Ngài đã học vâng lời.”
(Do Thái 5:8), đã chu toàn lề luật khi chịu phép rửa bởi
ông Gioan trên sông Giodan (Mt 3:15), và hôm nay cũng đã
đóng thuế như luật đòi hỏi. Đối với chúng ta, điều này
có nghĩa là khi mang danh con cái Chúa, gọi Thiên Chúa
là cha: Abba – lạy Cha – Cha ơi, chúng ta cũng phải sống
trọn vẹn với sứ mạng của một con người trần thế, tức là
phải chu toàn mọi trách nhiệm, bổn phận, và những đòi
hỏi của kiếp người.</span></font></p>

là sống đạo giữa đời. Là truyền giáo qua gương sáng của
việc làm và lời nói. Để như lời Chúa Giêsu dạy: “người
đời nhìn thấy việc lành các con làm mà ngợi khen Cha các
con Đấng ngự trên trời.” (Mt 16:5)</span></font></p>

thường, chúng ta hiếm hoặc không có nhiều cơ hội và hoàn
cảnh để thực hiện những việc làm lớn lao, những công
trình để đời, nhưng những việc nhỏ nhoi hằng ngày để làm
và cần làm với tinh thần cao cả, với sự thiện tâm và tấm
lòng thì luôn luôn có. Thí dụ: Cho người khát một bát
nước lã. Giúp đỡ người nghèo khổ, neo đơn, người bị bỏ
rơi, quên lãng. Giúp đỡ những cô nhi, quả phụ, người già
cả neo đơn và bệnh tật. Nở một nụ cười khích lệ, an ủi
đối với những người đang gặp khó khăn, ngã lòng. Tha thứ
cho người xúc phạm và làm phiền mình. Nhẫn nại trước
những cảnh ngộ, những lúc gặp thử thách…Những việc làm
như vậy chính là những gương sáng, những bài học sống
đạo có khả năng chinh phục được lòng người.</span></font></p>

là một đòi hỏi của xã hội, nó tượng trưng cho những luật
lệ, trách nhiệm và sự ràng buộc của cuộc sống. Đóng thuế
tâm hồn là một đáp trả tình yêu mà chúng ta cần phải có
đối với Thiên Chúa là Cha, đối với anh chị em mình vì
tất cả đều là con cùng một Cha trên Trời.</span></font></p>
