tháng Mân Côi, tháng tràng châu huyền nhiệm các con cái Mẹ có
thể dâng lên Mẹ. Mỗi hạt kinh là một hạt châu sa xuất phát từ
lời Tổng Thần Gabriel kính chào Mẹ. Từ lời thánh nữ Isave chúc
mừng Mẹ. Và từ lời Giáo Hội dạy chúng ta cầu xin với Mẹ. Mỗi
chục kinh Mân Côi lại được nối kết bằng một mầu nhiệm trong đó
Con Mẹ và Mẹ đã đi qua trong những vui, mừng, sầu khổ, và ánh
sáng. Miệng đọc, tâm suy những mầu nhiệm này, tâm trí chúng ta
sẽ được dẫn vào những chân trời huyền nhiệm của Tin Mừng sự

năm 1917, tại Fatima, Ðức Mẹ đã hiện ra lần thứ ba với Lucia,
Giaxinta, và Phanxicô, cho ba em nhìn thấy hỏa ngục và những
hình phạt mà các linh hồn phải chịu trong đó. Lucia đã hỏi Ðức
Mẹ về số phận của mình, của Phanxicô và Giaxinta. Ðức Mẹ đã cho

Mẹ nói lý do tại sao lại đòi Phanxicô phải siêng năng lần hạt.
Nhưng có thể hiểu một cách đơn sơ rằng, đối với Phanxicô, lần
hạt nhiều có nghĩa là cầu nguyện nhiều, bởi vì việc lần hạt Mân
Côi không vượt quá khả năng một em nhỏ như Phanxicô. </span></p>

tu, thường ngày đọc kinh Nhật Tụng để đại diện cho Giáo Hội dâng

dùng lời kinh nguyện của mình ca tụng Thiên Chúa. Kinh nguyện đó

kinh nguyện, Kinh Mân Côi trở thành Kinh Nhật Tụng của người tín
hữu. Trong bộ kinh này, chúng ta có dịp đọc lên những lời chúc
tụng thánh danh Thiên Chúa, cầu xin một cách đẹp lòng Ngài qua
Kinh Lạy Cha - kinh nguyện duy nhất mà Chúa Cứu Thế đã dạy khi
còn tại thế. Chúc tụng Mẹ Maria thánh đức bằng những lời Tổng
Thần Gabrien, Thiên sứ của Thiên Chúa đã chào mừng Ðức Mẹ, những
lời ngợi khen của Thánh Isave, và lời cầu xin của mỗi người dâng
lên Mẹ với ý thức về sự yếu hèn của chính mình. Sau cùng là lời
ca ngợi vinh quang Ba Ngôi Thiên Chúa từ muôn thuở và cho đến
muôn đời. </span></p>

nguyện chuỗi Mân Côi với ý nghĩa của Kinh Lạy Cha, Kinh Kính
Mừng, và Kinh Sáng Danh, người đọc không thể không cảm thấy ngợp
trời ánh sáng, vui mừng và hy vọng. Được chúc tụng Thiên Chúa
chí tôn, đầy tình thương, ca ngợi Mẹ Maria, người Mẹ diễm phúc,
và hợp với Giáo Hội xin Mẹ cầu bầu cho chúng ta trên con đường
đi về thiên quốc. Và trên tất cả, tình thương và phúc lộc đó qui
về vinh quang một Thiên Chúa là Cha, và cho phần rỗi của con cái
Ngài. </span></p>

thế, chắc chắn không còn bộ kinh nào đẹp đẽ hơn, xứng đáng hơn
để dâng lên Thiên Chúa. Những tâm hồn đạo đức, những thánh nhân
kim cổ trong lịch sử Giáo Hội đều có lòng yêu mến, sùng mộ những
Mầu Nhiệm ẩn chứa trong chuỗi Mân Côi, và đều là những tâm hồn
siêng năng lần hạt. Do đó, Kinh Mân Côi cũng được coi là nhật
tụng thần lương (Lectio Divina) của các Kitô hữu.</span></p>

Mẹ. Mỗi lần khi đi ngang qua tượng Mẹ tại tu viện, Bênađô cúi
đầu và nói: “Ave Maria” - kính chào Maria. Cảm khích về lời chào
và tấm lòng yêu mến đó, một hôm sau khi Bênađô vừa chào Ðức Mẹ
xong, liền được nghe Ðức Mẹ chào lại: “Ave Benado” - chào
Bênađô. Với lòng sốt sắng mến yêu mến Đức Mẹ của thánh nhân,
ngài được cho là người đã thêm vào cuối kinh Lạy Nữ Vương những

người tiên phong cổ võ việc lần hạt Mân Côi. Nhờ ngài sốt sắng
rao truyền việc lần hạt, đã chiến thắng được lạc giáo Albigense
tung hoành và gieo rắc bao tai họa cho Giáo Hội tại nước Pháp
thời của ngài. Một hôm, trong khi rao giảng phép lần hạt Mân Côi
tại tỉnh Carcasso, có một người đã đả kích thánh nhân về việc
đạo đức này. Anh ta đã bị quỉ nhập, và Thánh Ðaminh đã cầu
nguyện để trừ quỉ ra khỏi người ấy. Trước khi ra khỏi, chính quỉ
dữ đã phải thú nhận và thốt lên những lời này: “Hỡi mọi người,
hãy nghe đây: Ðức Trinh Nữ Maria rất thánh là Mẹ Thiên Chúa.
Người có đủ quyền năng gìn giữ mọi người khỏi lửa hỏa ngục. Ai
có lòng sùng kính Người, sẽ thoát khỏi tay chúng ta. Nếu chẳng
có Người, thì nhiều linh hồn đã phải trầm luân hỏa ngục. Người
yêu thương và phù hộ cho những ai siêng năng lần hạt Mân Côi.” </span></p>

Gioan Phaolô II cũng đã làm gương về lòng yêu mến Ðức Mẹ qua
việc lần hạt Mân Côi. Ngài luôn luôn có tràng hạt trong người.
Lần hạt riêng và lần hạt chung với con cái bốn phương. Lòng sùng
mộ và yêu mến Mẹ Maria đã được ngài biểu lộ qua khẩu hiệu giáo
hoàng của mình: “Totus tuus” - Tất cả là của Mẹ. Nhờ lòng sùng
kính này, ngày 13 tháng 5 năm 1981, ngài đã được cứu thoát một
cách nhiệm mầu khi bị ám sát tại quảng trường Thánh Phêrô. Ngài
thâm tín rằng trong biến cố đó, mạng sống ngài được duy trì là
do bàn tay của Ðức Mẹ. Và để bày tỏ lòng biết ơn Ðức Mẹ, ngài đã
thực hiện cuộc hành hương Fatima một năm sau, vào ngày 13 tháng
5 năm 1982. Trên mũ triều thiên của Ðức Mẹ Fatima, giữa những
viên kim cương lóng lánh, là một đầu đạn mà kẻ ám sát đã bắn vào
vị Giáo Hoàng, như dấu chứng hùng hồn về sự săn sóc và yêu
thương đặc biệt của Ðức Mẹ dành cho ngài. Chúng ta hãy nghe lời
của ngài trong Tông Huấn Sứ Ðiệp Mục Vụ Các Gia Ðình: “Cha mời
gọi tất cả hãy lần hạt Mân Côi, đường lối thiết yếu nuôi dưỡng
sự tăng trưởng thiêng liêng cho cá nhân và sự thông hiệp yêu

hành trình bác ái của Ðức Maria, khi vượt đồi núi Giuđêa đến
viếng thăm chị họ Isave. Cảm nghiệm tình thương bao la của Thiên

tại đồng quê Belem. Học hỏi đức khiêm nhường và tuân phục của

người bị đau khổ, bị thử thách mới biết tình Chúa thương yêu như
thế nào. Mới hiểu tại sao Ðức Kitô lại đau khổ, đổ mồ hôi hòa
máu trong vườn Cây Dầu. Tại sao Ngài để người ta đánh đòn, xỉ vả
Ngài. Tại sao Ngài cam tâm chịu nhục hình trước mặt bọn người
tội lỗi. Tại sao Ngài vác thập giá. Và nhất là tại sao Ngài lại
chịu chết treo trên thập giá. Suy ngắm những chặng đường đau khổ
của Ðức Kitô từ vườn Cây Dầu đến núi Sọ, chúng ta sẽ hiểu thế
nào là tình thương yêu của Thiên Chúa. Thế nào là ác quả của tội
lỗi. Thế nào là sự cao quí của linh hồn. </span></p>

chia vui, xẻ sầu với Ðức Kitô qua các ngả đường trần gian, trong
ơn gọi và cuộc sống của mình, nhờ suy ngắm, mỗi Kitô hữu sẽ tìm
được nguồn vui thiêng liêng khi nghĩ về cuộc phục sinh vinh
quang của Ngài. Nhớ về Thiên Ðàng khi nhìn ngắm Ðức Kitô về
trời, vì Ngài về trời là để dọn chỗ cho mỗi người chúng ta:

Nhiệm Sự Sáng, chúng ta suy ngắm Chúa Giêsu là “ánh sáng thế
gian” (Jn 8:12). Ánh Sáng đã xuất hiện như ngọn đuốc dẫn đàng
cho nhân loại tìm về cõi phúc trường sinh giữa đêm trường trần
gian mù mịt, khi Ngài xuất hiện lãnh nhận việc thanh tẩy từ tay
Gioan Tẩy Giả trên sông Giođan. Khi Ngài tham dự tiệc cưới ở
Canna với các môn đệ. Khi Ngài kêu gọi mọi người “xám hối” và
“tin vào Tin Mừng”. Khi Ngài hiển lộ sáng láng trên núi Taborê.
Và khi Ngài thiết lập bí tích Thánh Thể. </span></p>

Nhiệm Mân Côi chính là 20 quãng đường của mọi người chúng ta
phải đi, phải chấp nhận vì tình mến như Chúa Giêsu, như Mẹ Maria
đã đi và đã chấp nhận. Một giờ cầu nguyện đơn sơ nhưng với ý
nghĩa cao siêu như thế, không phải là một giờ suy nguyện đẹp
lòng Thiên Chúa hay sao? Không phải là một giờ để mình tâm sự và
nghe Chúa Mẹ tâm sự với mình qua những mầu nhiệm đó sao? Vì khi
suy ngắm những mầu nhiệm đó, chúng ta sẽ được nghe Thiên Chúa
nói với ta về cuộc đời của Ðức Kitô, của Ðức Maria và những gì
Ngài muốn ta thực hiện trong đời sống theo gương Hai Ðấng. </span></p>

thiên đàng thì Phanxicô phải siêng năng lần hạt.” Cũng như Thánh
trẻ Phanxicô, nếu chúng ta muốn đạt tới đích của đời sống, muốn
chiếm hữu được vĩnh cửu, thì chắc chắn phải siêng năng lần hạt.
Lần hạt mỗi ngày. Lần hạt một mình. Lần hạt chung với nhau trong
gia đình. Khi một mình trên xe bus. Một mình trên xe từ nhà tới
sở, và từ sở về nhà. Lúc rảnh rỗi hay trên giường bệnh. Khi gặp
những thử thách, đau khổ mà không biết than thở với ai. Nhờ suy
ngắm những mầu nhiệm Mân Côi, chúng ta sẽ biết hy sinh, khiêm
nhường, nhẫn nại như Chúa Giêsu và Mẹ Maria, và sẽ hiểu Thiên
Chúa muốn mình sống như thế nào. </span></p>

truyện như thế chỉ có tác dụng làm quên đi thực tế của cuộc đời,

gian của con người, nếu được trình bày một cách trung thực phải
là một tập hợp giữa vui và buồn, giữa hạnh phúc và bất hạnh,
giữa yêu thương và ghen ghét, giữa bạn hữu và thù nghịch, giữa
lương thiện và gian ác. Một cuộc sống mà không ai có thể nói
mình hoàn toàn hạnh phúc, hoặc hoàn toàn bất hạnh. Một cuộc sống
mà trong đó mọi người phải phấn đấu, chấp nhận, và vươn cao giữa
những thử thách, những cám dỗ, và yếu đuối. Trong cuộc sống này,

danh về biến cố Fatima, còn là việc chu toàn một trong ba điều
kiện của Ðức Mẹ, đó là: “Cải thiện đời sống, tôn sùng Trái Tim
Mẹ, và siêng năng lần hạt.” Ngài còn nhấn mạnh rằng Thánh Ý
Thiên Chúa muốn dùng Ðức Trinh Nữ Maria để tỏ lòng khoan nhân và
