kỷ luật rõ ràng, minh bạch gọi là Giáo Luật. Bộ luật bao gồm
những luật lệ vừa nhân bản, nhưng cũng vừa tâm linh giúp mọi
thành phần trong Giáo Hội ấy sống, và trưởng thành hơn trong đời
sống tâm linh, cũng như bảo đảm trật tự sinh hoạt của nó.</span></p>

nghi lễ sốt sắng, trang nghiêm, và nhất thống gọi là Phụng Vụ.
Qua Phụng Vụ, ta biết phải thờ phượng, tôn kính Đấng Tạo Hóa như
thế nào, bằng những tác động, tâm tình nào. Phụng Vụ còn đưa con
người tiến sâu vào sự kết hợp mật thiết với chính Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

chặt chẽ, có phẩm trật rõ ràng nối kết giữa Giáo Hội hoàn vũ và
các Giáo Hội địa phương. Điều này nằm trong xác tin của người
Kitô giáo: “Tôi tin Giáo Hội duy nhất, thánh thiện, công giáo,
và tông truyền”.</span></p>

Thánh Kinh gồm Cựu và Tân Ước. Bộ sách mặc khải cho biết về
Thiên Chúa, về tình thương của Ngài đối với nhân loại cũng như
từng người. Và về chương trình cứu độ Ngài đã thực hiện để giải
phóng con người khỏi nô lệ Satan, nô lệ tội lỗi. </span></p>

tôn giáo này được minh chứng qua lịch sử, qua dòng thời gian
bằng lớp lớp các chứng nhân sẵn sàng đổ máu mình ra vì niềm tin
vào tôn giáo ấy. Họ là những anh hùng tử đạo. Họ thuộc mọi đẳng
cấp trong Giáo Hội, mọi chủng tộc, mọi thành phần xã hội, mọi
tuổi tác, nam cũng như nữ, và mọi ngành nghề. Giáo Hội Việt Nam
cũng đóng góp 117 vị hiển thánh và 1 Chân Phước trong số những
anh hùng tử đạo ấy.</span></p>

cạnh khác, có lẽ bạn đang muốn hoài nghi về những điều tôi vừa
trình bày. Bạn sẽ mỉm cười như ngầm nói với tôi là tôi phải giải
thích sao khi trên các phương tiện truyền thông không ngừng tố
cáo, tấn công Giáo Hội, tấn công niềm tin của người Kitô hữu khi
viện dẫn trường hợp một số hồng y, giám mục, linh mục, tu sỹ nam
nữ đang vướng phải những tội lỗi rất xấu xa, ghê tởm như ấu dâm,
lạm dụng tình dục... Thí dụ hồng y Theodore McCarrick, giáo chủ
hồi hưu của Tổng Giáo Phận Washington từ 2001-2006, người đã bị
tước bỏ mọi phẩm chức trong hàng giáo phẩm. Hoặc mới đây như
hồng y Angelo Becciu, 73 tuổi người Ý, một viên chức cao cấp
trong giáo triều Roma, được Giáo Hoàng Phanxicô tín nhiệm. Ông
cũng đã bị thu hồi mọi phẩm chức vì liên quan đến vấn đề tài
chánh cũng như tình ái. Đặc biệt là một số hồng y, tổng giám
mục, giám mục thuộc Hội Đồng Giám Mục Đức đang nhem nhúm con
đường tách ly khỏi Giáo Hội Roma. Rồi bạn nói với tôi: “Những
cây đại thụ trong vườn Giáo Hội của bạn mà như vậy, thì cây lau,
cây sậy sẽ như thế nào?”</span></p>

suy nghĩ và thắc mắc của bạn đã có câu trả lời. Kinh Thánh cho
biết rằng Đức Giêsu Kitô đã biết rõ về Phêrô trước khi đặt ông
làm đầu Giáo Hội do Ngài sáng lập. Con người Phêrô là vậy, còn
con thuyền Hội Thánh do Phêrô cầm tay lái cũng đã từng trải qua
những giây phút tưởng chừng như bị đắm chìm, bị dập vùi vì sóng
dữ, vì biển động là những cuộc bách hại, những trào lưu chống
đối. Nhưng tôi tin vào lời Chúa Giêsu đã nói với Phêrô khi trấn
an ông trong sứ mạng thuyền trưởng con thuyền Giáo Hội của Ngài:
“Và thầy bảo anh rằng, anh là Phêrô, và trên đá này Thầy sẽ xây
Giáo Hội Thầy, và các cửa Hỏa Ngục cũng không thắng nổi” (Mat
16:18). Lịch sử hơn 2000 năm của Giáo Hội đã chứng minh điều
này.</span></p>

qua sự hướng dẫn và xúi dục của Satan càng cố gắng công phá, bắt
bớ, tiêu diệt Giáo Hội, thì Giáo Hội lại càng phát triển như lời
giáo phụ Tertulian (c.155 - c.240) đã nói: “Máu các Kitô hữu là
hạt giống” trổ sinh mùa màng cho Giáo Hội. Như vậy cả Hỏa Ngục,
cũng như những tay sai của Hỏa Ngục cũng không đánh chìm được
con thuyền Giáo Hội. Xác tín này cho đến nay trong thế giới hiện
tại vẫn luôn được minh chứng một cách mạnh mẽ. Đêm trước ngày bị
hành quyết bởi Nazis (Đức Quốc Xã), linh mục German Lutheran cha
sở Dietrich Bonhoeffer đã nói với các tù nhân khác là: “Đây là
sự chấm dứt - nhưng với tôi, đời sống lại bắt đầu” (This is the
end - but for me, the beginning of life).</span></p>

thành phần của Giáo Hội tôi không thể không buồn, không thấy xấu
hổ, và một cách nào đó không khỏi hoang mang. Nhưng tôi không
thể mũ ni che tai, và càng không được phép để ngồi mà nhìn, mà
buồn, hoặc thất vọng với Giáo Hội khi mà tôi là một phần tử.
Trong trường hợp này, tôi thấy lời Tổng Thống Mỹ John F. Kennedy
rất ý nghĩa: “Đừng hỏi tổ quốc đã làm gì cho bạn, nhưng hãy tự
hỏi, bạn đã làm gì cho tổ quốc”.</span></p>
