ảnh sau biến cố Phục Sinh, có lẽ đối với tôi hình ảnh hai môn đệ
trên đường về Emmau gợi lại nhiều suy tư với ứng dụng trong đời
sống đạo nhất. Hành trình cuộc sống của tôi cũng giống như những
gì đã xảy ra trên con đường Emmau buổi chiều hôm ấy. Có bóng
dáng của hy vọng, nhưng cũng có bóng dáng của thất vọng. Có bóng
dáng của niềm tin, nhưng cũng có bóng dáng của thử thách.</span></p>

(Lc 24:13-35) kể lại sau những giờ phút huy hoàng được rước vào
thánh thánh Giêrusalem, Chúa Giêsu đã bị môn đệ phản bội, bị
bắt, bị đánh đòn, đội mão gai, và bị xử tử hình trên thập giá
tại đồi Golgotha. Nhưng rồi tin đồn Ngài đã sống lại càng tạo
thêm hoang mang không chỉ đối với dân cư quanh vùng lúc bấy giờ
mà còn ảnh hưởng cả đến những kẻ đã tin theo Ngài, trong đó có
người như Tông Đồ Tôma, như Cleopas và bạn ông. Thất vọng và
hoang mang, hai ông này đã bỏ giấc mộng theo thầy và trở về làng
cũ.</span></p>

dành cho Chúa là những cảm tình chân thành, và lòng yêu mến của
họ là sự liên kết chặt chẽ với Đấng mà họ vẫn hàng trông đợi sẽ
có một ngày vinh quang, để họ cũng được hưởng nhờ. Và do đó, sự
thất vọng, buồn bã của họ có căn bản và mang tính nhân bản. Cũng
chính vì thế mà Chúa Giêsu đã không phiền trách họ, ngược lại đã
tìm cách nâng đỡ niềm tin của họ. Ngài đã khai tâm mối nghi ngờ
của họ.</span></p>

Giêsu đã củng cố đức tin ông bằng cách cho xem và đụng chạm vào
các dấu thương tích của cuộc tử nạn. Ngài đã cho ông mãn nguyện:
“Hãy xỏ ngón tay con vào đây và nhìn vào tay Thầy. Hãy đưa tay
ra và thọc vào cạnh sườn Thầy. Đừng cứng tin nữa.” (Gioan
20:27). Điều này đã khiến cho Tôma thổn thức: “Lạy Chúa. Lạy
Thiên Chúa của con” (28).</span></p>

ông, Ngài đã nhập bọn đồng hành với họ, nhẫn nại hướng dẫn họ về
Kinh Thánh, đã nhận lời mời ghé lại nhà họ trong lúc chiều tối
hôm đó, và đã cùng họ bẻ bánh. Cũng như Tôma, mắt họ đã bừng
tỉnh nhận ra Chúa, để rồi, “Ngay lúc ấy, họ đứng dậy, quay trở
lại Giêrusalem, gặp Nhóm Mười Một và các bạn hữu đang tụ họp tại
đó” (Luc 24:33). Để xác nhận sự thật Chúa sống lại: “Chúa trỗi
dậy thật rồi, và đã hiện ra với ông Simôn” (34). Và “hai ông
thuật lại những gì đã xảy ra dọc đường và việc mình đã nhận ra
Chúa thế nào khi Người bẻ bánh” (35).</span></p>

cuộc sống, trong những buổi chiều về ủ ê, chất chứa những phiền
não, những hoang mang cuộc đời, cảm giác con người ai cũng có
đôi khi thất vọng, đôi khi nghi ngờ sự hiện diện của Chúa. Ngài
có thật và có trong cuộc đời tôi không? Nhưng chỉ khi nào chúng
ta dám thách thức Chúa với lòng khiêm tốn tìm Ngài như Tôma:
“Trừ khi tôi nhìn thấy dấu đanh nơi tay Ngài, và thọc ngón tay
tôi vào những vết đanh ấy, thọc tay tôi vào cạnh sườn Ngài, tôi
không tin” (Gioan 20:25). Hoặc chân thành, khẩn khoản mời Ngài
ghé thăm nhà mình như hai môn đệ Emmau: “Họ nài ép Người rằng:
Mời ông ở lại với chúng tôi, vì trời đã xế chiều, và ngày sắp
tàn” (Luca 24:29), lúc đó chúng ta sẽ nhận ra Ngài. Vì Ngài luôn
ở bên và ở với chúng ta.</span></p>

20:29). Đường về Emmau là con đường của những ai đang đi tìm sự
thật, tìm chân lý. Nhưng rồi ra có mấy lần ta đã thấy Chúa, đã
được Chúa đồng hành với mình?</span></p>

“Trên Đường Emmau” của linh mục nhạc sỹ Thành Tâm đã đem tôi về
với những thực tế cuộc đời, cái thực tế mà tôi nhìn trước, nhìn
sau, nhìn qua bên phải, nhìn qua bên trái đâu đâu tôi cũng thấy

sa ngã, và cả khi tôi mang nặng mặc cảm tội lỗi, Chúa vẫn đang
tiến lại gần để hỏi tôi như đã hỏi hai môn đệ làng Emmau: “Con
vừa đi vừa buồn bã, lẩm bẩm về chuyện gì vậy?”. Ngài không muốn
tôi bước đi với nét mặt sầu thảm, ủ dột. Ngài mong tôi hãy mở
rộng cõi lòng đón tiếp Ngài, để Ngài được đồng hành và chia sẻ
mọi lo lắng, muộn phiền của cuộc sống với tôi.</span></p>
