Thật ra, “<em>phйp rửa của Gioan</em>” chỉ lа phйp rửa thống
hối chứ khфng phải lа phйp rửa tha tội như của Chъa Giкsu.
Bởi thế, “<em>phйp rửa của Gioan</em>” chỉ lа phйp rửa “<em>bởi
người ta</em>” cтn phйp rửa của Chъa Giкsu mới “<em>bởi trời</em>”,
vа vм thế, Người cу quyền thanh tẩy đền thờ, một hаnh động
tiкu biểu cho việc Người thanh tẩy tội lỗi nơi tвm hồn của
con người ta bằng Phйp Rửa của Người vậy.<br>

Chъa Giкsu về hаnh động Người thanh tẩy đền thờ trong bаi

khфng dбm chấp nhận sự thật, bởi thế họ khфng gặp được sự
thật, tức lа họ khфng được sự thật giải phуng (xem Gioan
8:32), vа vм thế họ vẫn tiếp tục "<i>ngồi trong tối tăm vа
