<font FACE="Arial">Dừa nước</font></span><font FACE="Arial"> trong Đông
y gọi là du long thái, tên khoa học Nypa fruticans Murb thuộc họ Cau
Arecaceae.</font></span></p>
<p CLASS="MsoNormal" STYLE="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" ALIGN="justify">
<span STYLE="font-size: 12.0pt; color: black"><font FACE="Arial">Người
ta dùng dừa nước vào việc lấy lá để lợp nhà, lá đan làm rổ rá phổ biến ở
các tỉnh Nam Bộ cùng nhiều quốc gia lân cận. Đặc biệt là cuống hoa dừa
nước (quài dừa) khi còn chưa nở hoa thường được trích lỗ hứng lấy nhựa
để làm một thứ rượu mà người Philippin gọi là tuba hoặc để nhựa ấy tự
lên men tạo thành một loại dấm nguyên chất. Mầm dừa nước non ăn được,
những cánh hoa nở dùng làm trà hãm uống, cái dừa nước non được sử dụng
làm các món giải khát. Dân trên đảo Roti và Savu còn cho lợn ăn dừa nước
vào mùa khô để cho thịt lợn ngọt.</font></span></p>
<p CLASS="MsoNormal" STYLE="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" ALIGN="justify">
<span STYLE="font-size: 12.0pt; color: black"><font FACE="Arial">Trong
mật dừa nước có độ đường rất cao nên sử dụng để lên men rượu cồn. Ví dụ
như ở Philippin, 93% cồn và rượu, tức khoảng 90.000 lít, được sản xuất
từ dừa nước. Thái Lan và Philippin dùng dấm dừa nước để chế biến nhiều
món ăn hấp dẫn tại các nhà hàng. Đường dừa nước ở Malaysia có mùi vị
thơm ngon và là nguồn xuất khẩu.</font></span></p>
<p CLASS="MsoNormal" STYLE="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" ALIGN="justify">

Nam mới sử dụng trái dừa nước để ăn và làm chất đốt, số ít được sử dụng
làm thuốc trị một số bệnh chứng.</font></span></p>

Đông y, dừa nước có khí âm hàn, vị ngọt, tính mát, không độc, có công
năng tăng cường khí lực, làm tươi nhuận nhan sắc, giải nhiệt, cầm máu
rất tốt, nhất là khi sử dụng trong trị liệu cảm nắng, chảy máu cam, thổ
huyết, đái dưỡng chấp, đái tháo đường... Những phương thuốc trị liệu
tiêu biểu có vị thuốc từ dừa nước:</font></span></p>

nhiệt, nhuận da: Dùng cùi quả dừa nước cùng nước đường, dầu chuối làm
nước giải khát, mỗi lần uống 1 ly, ngày uống 2 - 3 lần. Cần uống một
thời gian.</font></span></p>
<p CLASS="MsoNormal" STYLE="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" ALIGN="justify">

viêm thận phù thũng: Du long thái khô 30 - 60g, rau má 12 - 16g, bông mã
đề 10 - 12g, bồ công anh 12 - 16g, sắc lấy nước uống vào trước bữa ăn,
ngày 2 lần, mỗi lần chừng 150ml.</font></span></p>
<p CLASS="MsoNormal" STYLE="line-height: 18.0pt; margin-left: 0; margin-right: 0; margin-top: 12px; margin-bottom: 0" ALIGN="justify">
<span STYLE="font-size: 12.0pt; color: black"><font FACE="Arial">Đái
dưỡng chấp, đái đục (kể cả viêm cầu thận cấp): Du long thái 30 - 40g sắc
riêng lấy nước chia 2 lần uống trong ngày hoặc dừa nước 30 - 40g, tua rễ
đa (lấy phần của rễ mọc phụ sinh từ cành) 20 - 30g, tỳ giải 15 - 20g,
sắc uống ngày 1 thang, chia 2 - 3 lần/ngày, cần dùng 5 - 7 thang liền.</font></span></p>
