Một người đang sống tốt lành gương mẫu được mọi người mến phục, nếu
không khéo giữ mình cũng có thể vấp ngã và hư hỏng, đánh mất hết uy tín,
mất hết phẩm chất cao đẹp của mình và trở thành người bị khinh dể chê
cười. </span></p>

Muốn giữ cho cá khỏi ươn, người ta cần dùng muối để ướp mặn nó. Vậy muốn
cho con người khỏi hỏng, cũng cần một thứ muối khác để bảo toàn. Chúa
Giê-su mời gọi chúng ta trở nên thứ muối nầy.</span></p>

Qua Tin Mừng Mat-thêu chương 5, câu 13, Chúa Giê-su mời gọi: "Chính anh
em là muối cho đời.” </span></p>

Vậy chúng ta phải thực hiện sứ mạng làm muối ướp mặn đời như thế nào

Bắt đầu với một người </span></i></b></p>

Một ít muối không thể ướp mặn cả thùng cá. Một cá nhân khó có thể cảm
hoá được nhiều người. Tuy nhiên, mỗi người rất có thể giữ cho một người
khác khỏi hư. </span></p>

Để thực hành sứ mạng làm “muối cho đời” như Lời Chúa truyền dạy, trước
tiên, mỗi người chúng ta hãy bắt đầu thực hiện với một người, bằng cách
kết thân với một cá nhân trên đà hư hỏng, dành nhiều tình yêu và lòng
quý trọng cho người bạn đó - chỉ có tình yêu và lòng quý trọng mới có
thể cảm hoá tâm hồn - rồi dần dà giúp cho người đó bỏ đi những thói hư
tật xấu. </span></p>

Rồi sau khi đã thành công với người thứ nhất, ta sẽ “làm muối ướp mặn”
thêm một người khác nữa. Cứ thế, giúp cho từng người một, hết người nầy
đến người khác, dần hồi, chúng ta sẽ giúp cho khá nhiều người khỏi hư
hỏng. Đó là một sự nghiệp cao đẹp tuyệt vời.</span></p>

“Ướp mặn” người khác cách nào?</span></i></b></p>

Trước hết là bằng đời sống gương mẫu, nói khác đi, là hãy trở nên đèn
sáng. Người ta thường nói: “Gần mực thì đen, gần đèn thì sáng.” Hãy nêu
cao gương sáng cho người chung quanh như Chúa Giê-su kêu mời qua Tin
Mừng hôm nay: “Chính anh em là ánh sáng cho trần gian… Chẳng có ai thắp
đèn rồi lại để dưới cái thùng, nhưng đặt trên đế, và đèn soi chiếu cho
mọi người trong nhà. Cũng vậy, ánh sáng của anh em phải chiếu giãi trước
mặt thiên hạ, để họ thấy những công việc tốt đẹp anh em làm, mà tôn vinh
Cha của anh em, Đấng ngự trên trời.” (Mt 5, 15-16)</span></p>

Tiếp theo là bằng những lời khuyên đượm tình yêu thương.</span></p>

Chỉ làm gương sáng mà thôi không đủ, cần có những lời khuyên nhủ, động
viên, nhắc nhở đượm tình yêu thương kèm theo.</span></p>

Nhắc nhở khuyên can mà không có tình yêu thương kèm theo sẽ làm người
khác xa lánh ta nên không đem lại hiệu quả. Khuyên lơn, động viên trong
tình yêu thương và lòng tôn trọng sẽ cảm hóa được lòng người và giúp
người khác khỏi đi vào đường hư vong.</span></p>
