Tin Mừng Thứ Năm Tuần Thánh hôm nay cho chúng ta thấy tình yêu tột đỉnh
của Đức Giê-su qua ba sự kiện như sau :</span></p>

font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">1) Yêu thương là hiến thân phục
vụ cho người mình yêu :</span></b></p>

Yêu thương bằng lời nói có thể bị coi là yêu bằng đầu môi trót lưỡi. Yêu
thương bằng cử chỉ có thể bị coi chỉ là giả hình bề ngoài. Còn khi yêu
thương bằng hành động mới chứng tỏ một tình yêu thực sự.</span></p>

Vì thế, Đức Giê-su không những dạy các môn đệ yêu thương nhau : “Anh em
hãy yêu thương nhau như Thầy đã yêu thương anh em”, mà Người còn đòi các
ông phải yêu thương bằng hành động cụ thể noi gương Người làm : cởi bỏ
chiếc áo cao quý của thân phận Thiên Chúa đế đeo chiếc khăn thấp hèn của
người phàm và cúi mình rửa chân hầu hạ các ông.</span></p>

Rửa chân xong, Người tiếp tục dạy môn đệ bài học phục vụ : “Anh em gọi
Thầy là “Thầy”, là “Chúa”, điều đó phải lắm… Vậy Thầy là “Chúa” là
“Thầy” mà còn rửa chân cho anh em, thì anh em cũng phải rửa chân cho
nhau”.</span></p>

Qua hành động này, Đức Giê-su muốn mỗi tín hữu cũng phải yêu thương bằng
hành động rửa chân phục vụ tha nhân. Rửa chân bao gồm những việc như:
lắng nghe để cảm thông với nhu cầu của tha nhân, rồi đáp ứng bằng việc
chia sẻ cơm áo cho người đói rét, băng bó những vết thương và góp phần
chữa lành bệnh nhân liệt giường, an ủi những người đau khổ vì bị áp bức
kỳ thị, thăm viếng những cụ già neo đơn bị bỏ rơi trong các nhà dưỡng
lão…</span></p>

font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">2) Yêu thương là muốn hiệp nhất
với người mình yêu :</span></b></p>

Khi yêu thương người ta không những hy sinh phục vụ nhau, mà còn muốn
nên một với nhau như có người đã nói : “Mình với ta tuy hai mà một. Ta
với mình tuy một mà hai”. Vì thế, Đức Giê-su đã thiết lập bí tích Thánh
Thể, để biến tấm bánh trong bữa ăn thành Thân Mình của Người sắp bị nộp
và biến chén rượu trở thành Máu thánh Người sắp đổ ra trong cuộc khổ
nạn làm của ăn của uống cho các môn đệ hầu ban sự sống muôn đời cho
những ai lãnh nhận : “</span><i><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;
font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Anh em cầm lấy mà ăn</span></i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm">,
đây </span><i><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:
"Times New Roman",serif">là mình Thầy</span></i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm">,
hiến tế </span><i><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">vì
anh em” (1 Cr 111,24);</span></i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm"> vì
“Ai ăn thịt và uống máu Thầy, thì sẽ được sống muôn đời” (Ga 6,5a).</span></p>

với người mình yêu :</span></b></p>

Đức Giê-su đã hứa trước khi lên trời: “</span><i><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Thầy
sẽ ở cùng anh em mọi ngày cho đến tận thế </span></i><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm">”
(Mt 28,20). Để có thể ở cùng các môn đệ luôn mãi, Đức Giê-su đã thiết
lập bí tích truyền chức thánh để trao ban chức linh mục cộng đoàn cho
các tín hữu, và chức linh mục thừa tác cho những người được tuyển chọn :
“Anh em hãy làm việc này mà nhớ đến Thầy” (Lc 22,19).</span></p>

Khi tham dự thánh lễ Tiệc Ly chiều Thứ Năm Tuần Thánh hôm nay, ước gì
mỗi tín hữu chúng ta hiểu được bài học khiêm tốn phục vụ qua nghi thức
rửa chân và cảm nhận được tình thương tột cùng của Chúa qua bí tích
Thánh Thể. Xin cho chúng ta sẵn sàng đáp lại tình Chúa yêu thương bằng
sự kết hiệp mật thiết với Chúa khi dự lễ rước lễ, rồi sẵn sàng quên mình
để phụng sự Chúa và tha nhân, hầu nên chứng nhân cho Chúa trước mặt
người đời (x. Cv 1,8).</span></td></tr><tr><td width="474"><p style="text-align: center">
