thánh giá tỏ lộ rằng, Thiên Chúa qúa yêu thế gian đến nổi ban Con

Ngài quả quyết Thánh Giá là biểu tượng chính yếu của Kitô giáo. Bất
cứ nơi nào Tin mừng được gieo trồng, thì Thánh giá luôn ở đó, để nói
lên sự hiện diện của người Kitô.</span></p>

Ngài nói, "những người trẻ Kitô giáo đang hãnh diện mang thánh giá
qua mọi nẻo đường trên thế giới. Trong năm qua, Thánh Giá giới trẻ
đã được mang đi trên khắp mọi nẻo đường đất nước Canada và Thánh giá
cũng đã được rước đến trung tâm mậu dịch thế giơí tại New York, một
nơi đã hoàn toàn bị sụp đổ do các cuộc tấn công của ngày 11/09/2001.
Giờ đây Thánh giá cũng sẽ được mang đến khắp mọi nẻo đường của nước
Đức trước khi ngày đại hội giới trẻ được khai mạc tại Cologne vào
năm 2005."</span></p>

Đức Thánh Cha kết thúc bài huấn đức của ngài bằng việc trao phó cho
Đức trinh nữ "giơí trẻ và gia đình, các quốc gia và toàn thể nhân
loại" đặc biệt "các bệnh nhân và những người đang đau khổ, các nạn
nhân vô tội của bất công và bạo động" và "các người Kitô đang bị đàn
áp vì đức tin của họ." Xin cho thánh giá vinh quang của chúa Kitô là
bảo đảm cho niềm hi vọng, sự cứu thoát và bình an, cho tất cả mọi
người.</span></p>
