nay chúng ta mừng lễ kỷ niệm cung hiến thánh đường Latêranô. Đây là vương cung
thánh đường cổ kính nhất của Hội Thánh, là nhà thờ chính toà của Đức Thánh Cha,
giám mục thành Rôma, và là Mẹ của mọi nhà thờ trên thế giới.</span></p>

hiến thánh đường là dâng cho Chúa một ngôi nhà, để dành riêng cho việc phụng tự.
Đồng thời nhà thờ là nơi các tín hữu họp nhau để tôn thờ, cảm tạ Chúa và cử hành
mầu nhiệm đức tin. Dù nguy nga hay nhỏ bé, cổ kính hay hiện đại, mọi nhà thờ đều
là nơi Thiên Chúa gặp gỡ con người. Chỉ nơi đây, con người mới gặp gỡ được Thiên
Chúa trong niềm tin.</span></p>

kỷ niệm cung hiến Đền Thờ Latêranô hôm nay, Hội Thánh không dừng lại ở việc
tưởng niệm một công trình mang tính lịch sử. Nhưng qua việc tưởng niệm này, Hội
Thánh muốn chúng ta hướng tới sự tôn thờ một Ngôi Đền Thờ lớn lao hơn, chất chứa
mọi ngôi đền thờ, và vượt trên mọi ngôi đền thờ, đó chính là Ngôi Đền Thờ mang
tên Giêsu Kitô.</span></p>

vậy, chỉ có Chúa Kitô mới là Đền Thờ đích thực như chính Ngài đã ám chỉ về mình
trong bài Tin Mừng chúng ta vừa nghe “Các ông cứ phá hủy Đền Thờ này đi, nội
trong ba ngày, Ta sẽ xây dựng lại”.</span></p>

thế, Đức Giêsu không có ý nói đến đền thờ Giêrusalem, nhưng Ngài muốn nói đến
chính đền thờ thân thể Ngài, thân thể bị phá hủy và được xây dựng lại; thân thể
bị giết chết và được phục sinh. Đức Giêsu phục sinh trở nên Đền Thờ của Giao Ước
mới, mọi tín hữu được mời gọi bước vào Đền Thờ này.</span></p>

Thánh sánh ví như một Đền Thờ thiêng liêng và mỗi tín hữu là một viên đá sống
động, mà Đức Kitô là tảng đá nền.</span></p>

Phaolô khẳng định “ Đền thờ của Thiên Chúa chính là anh em”. Hơn thế nữa, ngài
còn nói: “Thân xác anh em là Đền Thờ của Chúa Thánh Thần”. Như thế cả Hội Thánh
và từng Kitô hữu chúng ta đều là Đền Thờ thiêng liêng, được thánh hiến qua Bí
tích rửa tội.</span></p>

thờ Giêrusalem là nơi để thờ phượng Thiên Chúa; nhưng người Do thái đã tục hóa
biến đền thờ thành nơi tụ tập buôn bán, đổi chác… vì thế, Chúa Giêsu đã thịnh nộ
xô đổ bàn ghế, xua đuổi những người buôn bán ra khỏi đền thờ.</span></p>

tư tưởng của thánh Phaolô tông đồ, tâm hồn mỗi Kitô hữu cũng là một đền thờ, thế
nhưng, nhiều Kitô hữu đã biến đền thờ tâm hồn mình thành nơi đổi chác, buôn bán
khi quá bận tâm về tiền tài, đam mê xấu, danh vọng thấp hèn, địa vị trần thế…</span></p>

người chúng ta, dù là giáo sĩ, tu sĩ hay giáo dân -lúc này đây- thử xét xem: Nếu
hôm nay Chúa Giêsu ‘bước vào’ đền thờ tâm hồn tôi, Ngài sẽ nổi giận về điều gì?
Ngài xua đuổi những gì? Ngài hất đổ những gì?</span></p>

gì nhân ngày mừng kỷ niệm cung hiến thánh đường Latêranô, Mẹ của các nhà thờ
Công giáo trên toàn thế giới hôm nay, chúng ta được mời gọi bảo vệ ngôi nhà thờ
giáo xứ chúng ta. Hơn nữa, không chỉ làm đẹp ngôi nhà thờ vật chất này, mỗi
người chúng ta cũng nên ý thức giữ gìn tâm hồn luôn trong sạch để xứng đáng là
đền thờ của Chúa Thánh Thần.</span></p>

thời, chúng ta cũng luôn mở rộng vòng tay, sẵn sàng chia sẻ với những anh chị em
bất hạnh, để tất cả chúng ta cùng liên kết với nhau trong một tình yêu. Nhờ đó,
chúng ta có thể xây dựng một ngôi Đền thờ thật đẹp, ấm cúng tình người, tình
Chúa, nơi mà muôn dân có thể đến để tôn thờ cảm tạ Chúa.</span></p>

ta chung lời tạ ơn Chúa vì Chúa đã ban cho giáo xứ chúng ta có được ngôi nhà thờ
khang trang, để hằng ngày, chúng ta đến gặp gỡ Chúa hiệp thông với nhau trong
lời kinh, nhất là cử hành thánh lễ thờ phượng tôn vinh Chúa. Đồng thời, chúng ta
càng hạnh phúc hơn khi được Chúa ngự vào đền thờ tâm hồn mình.</span></p>

nhiên, vì mải mê lo toan cho cuộc sống hằng ngày, cùng với những tội lỗi chất
chồng theo năm tháng, ngôi đền thờ tâm hồn chúng ta lắm khi trở nên tục hóa. Vì
thế, xin Chúa thanh tẩy đền thờ tâm hồn chúng ta như Chúa đã thanh tẩy đền thờ
Giêrusalem năm xưa.</span></p>

là nhà của Chúa, là nơi thờ phượng Chúa. Xin cho chúng ta biết gìn giữ đền thờ
tâm hồn trong sạch để xứng đáng là nơi Chúa ngự. Amen.</span></p>
