Giêsu là Đấng rất hiền lành, và Ngài cũng là mẫu mực của sự hiền lành như lời

hiền hậu và khiêm nhường...” ( Mt 11, 29 )</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu và các môn đệ bị người Samaria ngăn chặn không cho đi qua làng của họ
mà tiến về Giêrusalem, Giacôbê và Gioan nổi giận đùng đùng, muốn khiến lửa trời
xuống đốt, Chúa Giêsu quở trách Giacôbê và Gioan vì lối xử sự nóng nảy của các
ông. (Lc 9, 54)</span></p>

có người cho Chúa là người mất trí (Mc 3, 21), là kẻ nói phạm thượng (Mt 9, 3),
là người lấy phép của tướng quỷ mà trừ quỷ (Mt 9, 34), thậm chí là người bị quỷ
ám (Ga 7, 20), là người dại dột... Chúa Giêsu cũng chẳng lấy làm điều.</span></p>

là trong cuộc thương khó, người ta lăng nhục hành hạ Chúa đủ điều, Chúa vẫn nín
thinh không nói một lời. Khi chịu treo trên thập giá đau đớn lại còn bị chế
nhạo, Chúa Giêsu chẳng những không giận mà lại còn cầu xin Chúa Cha tha thứ cho
kẻ hành hạ lăng nhục Ngài. Nói chung, Chúa Giêsu là Đấng rất dịu hiền và rất bao
dung khiến ta nghĩ rằng Ngài không hề biết giận là gì.</span></p>

mà... khi Chúa Giêsu vào Đền Thờ Giêrusalem, thấy người ta làm ô uế đền thờ thì
Ngài không thể nào chịu nổi. Ngài nổi giận thật sự. Tin Mừng Gioan ghi lại:
Người thấy trong Đền Thờ có những kẻ bán chiên, bò, bồ câu, và những người đang
ngồi đổi tiền. Người liền lấy dây làm roi mà xua đuổi tất cả bọn họ cùng với
chiên bò ra khỏi Đền Thờ; còn tiền của những người đổi bạc, Người đổ tung ra, và
lật nhào bàn ghế của họ. Người nói với những kẻ bán bồ câu: "Đem tất cả những
thứ này ra khỏi đây, đừng biến nhà Cha tôi thành nơi buôn bán.”</span></p>

là để thanh tẩy Đền Thờ Giêrusalem khỏi bị tục hoá, Chúa Giêsu phải dùng đến roi
vọt, dùng đến biện pháp cứng rắn không ai ngờ như “đổ tung tiền của những người
đổi bạc”, “lật nhào bàn ghế”, dùng roi để ‘xua đuổi tất cả bọn’ ra khỏi Đền Thờ!</span></p>

không thể ngờ được! Một Chúa Giêsu rất mực hiền lành khiêm nhượng, Đấng mà “cây
lau bị giập, Người không đành bẻ gãy, tim đèn leo lét, chẳng nỡ tắt đi” ( Mt 12,
20 )... giờ đây phải dùng roi vọt và biện pháp cứng rắn đối với những người xúc
phạm đến sự linh thánh của Đền Thờ Giêrusalem. Điều đó chứng tỏ cho thấy rằng
việc làm ô uế Đền Thờ là một hành vi rất tai hại khiến Chúa Giêsu đau khổ và bất
bình xiết bao!</span></p>

thanh tẩy đền thờ thân thể chúng ta</span></p>

<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%">Thân
thể chúng ta cũng là những Đền Thờ, xét ra còn cao trọng hơn Đền Thờ Giêrusalem
xưa. Trong chương 3 của thư thứ nhất gửi tín hữu Côrintô, Thánh Phaolô dạy: “Nào
anh em chẳng biết rằng anh em là Đền Thờ của Thiên Chúa và Thánh Thần Thiên Chúa
ngự trong anh em sao?” (1 Cr 3, 13) và qua chương 6, Thánh Phaolô tái khẳng định
chân lý này: “Anh em lại chẳng biết rằng thân xác anh em là Đền Thờ của Thánh
Thần sao?” (1 Cr 6, 19)</span></p>

Giêsu cũng dạy rằng có Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi hằng ngự trị nơi những ai yêu mến và
tuân giữ lời Ngài: “Ai yêu mến Thầy thì sẽ giữ lời Thầy. Cha Thầy sẽ yêu mến
người ấy. Cha Thầy và Thầy sẽ đến và ở lại với người ấy” (Ga 14, 23).</span></p>

thân chúng ta là những Đền Thờ cao quý hơn mọi thánh đường trên khắp thế gian,
vì đây là những Đền Thờ sống động, có linh hồn, có trí khôn... chứ không phải
bằng gỗ đá vàng bạc vô tri vô giác, được chính Ba Ngôi Thiên Chúa xây dựng nên
theo hình ảnh Ngài, được Chúa Giêsu đổ Máu Thánh ra mà cứu chuộc, được Chúa
Thánh Thần xức dầu thánh hiến trong ngày lãnh Bí Tích Rửa Tội và Thêm Sức, được
Chúa Giêsu tô điểm và bồi bổ bằng lời hằng sống cũng như bằng chính Thịt Máu
Ngài và nhất là mai sau được đưa lên cõi trời vinh hiển. Không một ngôi Thánh
Đường vật chất nào trên thế gian có được những vinh dự lớn lao như thế.</span></p>

nếu Chúa Giêsu yêu quý Đền Thờ Giêrusalem một thì Ngài còn yêu quý các Đền Thờ
sống động này gấp trăm. Thế nên, Ngài đã không tiếc khi lấy chính Máu Thánh mình
mà thanh tẩy chúng; không tiếc hiến mạng mình để chuộc lại chúng. Như thế thì
bản thân mỗi người Ki-tô hữu là Đền Thờ vô giá!</span></p>

người làm ô uế Đền Thờ Giêrusalem thì bị Chúa Giêsu đuổi đi bằng roi vọt; còn ai
làm hư hại Đền Thờ thiêng liêng nơi người tín hữu thì bị Chúa đe phạt nặng nề
hơn: “Ai làm cớ cho một trong những kẻ bé mọn đang tin đây phải sa ngã, thì thà
buộc cối đá lớn vào cổ nó mà ném xuống biển còn hơn.” (Mc 9, 42) Có lẽ không còn
răn đe nào nghiêm khắc hơn!</span></p>

Chúa hôm nay mời gọi mỗi người chúng ta hãy cảnh tỉnh nhìn lại mình, nhìn thật
sâu vào nội tâm sâu thẳm của bản thân chúng ta là Đền Thờ Thiên Chúa để nhận ra
những ý tưởng đen tối, những tham vọng xấu xa, những đam mê tội lỗi đang ẩn mình
trong đó... để sớm quét sạch chúng đi. Chính mỗi người chúng ta là thủ phạm trực
tiếp làm ô uế Đền Thờ thân thể mình chứ không ai khác. Vậy hãy liệu mà thanh tẩy
kịp thời trước giờ Chúa Giêsu lại đến.</span></p>
