Suy niệm: </span></strong><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; color: black">Thiên
Chúa Đấng vô hình, hiện diện ở khắp mọi nơi, lại muốn chọn một nơi làm điểm hẹn
với dân Ngài. Thế mà đền thánh, biểu tượng của sự hiện diện của Thiên Chúa và là
điểm hẹn của Chúa với Dân Ngài đang bị biến thành nơi buôn bán xô bồ. Có cảm
nhận được địa vị tuyệt đối, ưu việt của Thiên Chúa mới hiểu được việc “chiếm
dụng đền thờ” xúc phạm đến Ngài cách nặng nề như thế nào. Mà có ai cảm nhận được
điều đó sâu xa hơn chính Con Thiên Chúa là Đức Giêsu Kitô? Phải chăng chính vì
thế mà Đấng tự xưng là “hiền lành và khiêm nhường trong lòng” cũng phải áp dụng
biện pháp mạnh để tái lập tính cách linh thánh, bất khả xâm phạm của đền thờ,
biểu tượng của chính thân thể Ngài: “Đền thờ Đức Giê-su muốn nói ở đây là chính
thân thể Ngài”.</span></p>

thánh đường Latêranô được gọi là “Mẹ các nhà thờ”, vì được đế quốc La Mã chính
thức công nhận, đồng thời cũng là nhà thờ chánh toà giáo phận Rôma, nơi có ngai
toà của Đức Giáo Hoàng. Mừng lễ cung hiến thánh đường Latêranô nhắc chúng ta nhớ
mỗi người là những viên đá sống động của đền thờ Hội Thánh Chúa. Hơn nữa, nhờ bí
tích Rửa Tội, linh hồn mỗi người chúng ta trở thành đền thờ Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi
ngự trị.</span></p>

học ở Anh và sau đó về Ấn Độ, Gandhi làm luật sư, tiếp đó làm việc tại Nam Phi -
thuộc địa của nước Anh. Nam Phi nổi tiếng về phân biệt chủng tộc. Ở Nam Phi,
Gandhi có dịp đọc Kinh Thánh của Kitô giáo, lập tức giáo huấn của Đức Giêsu cuốn
hút ông, nhất là tám mối phúc thật. Ông rất tâm đắc trước Lời Chúa dạy về một
tình yêu phổ quát và bình đẳng giữa mọi người, không phân biệt giàu nghèo, sang
hèn, địa vị cao thấp, Do Thái hay lương dân...</span></p>

hãy tìm đến nhà thờ khác dành riêng cho dân da màu mà xin”. Gandhi rất sốc, tức
giận, bỏ về nhà và không theo đạo Kitô.</span></p>

Vượt qua và các dịp lễ quan trọng của dân Do Thái. Người trưởng thành, sống
trong vòng hai mươi lăm cây số chung quanh Giêrusalem phải đến đền thờ dự lễ.

hành hương đến đền thờ thường dâng lễ vật như bò, chiên, chim câu..., chúng ta
thấy gia đình Chúa Giêsu c<em style="box-sizing: border-box">ũ</em>ng dâng lễ
vật khi dâng Chúa vào đền thánh (x. Lc 2,24). Cho nên, ở đền thánh có người bán
bò, chiên, bồ câu để phục vụ cho việc lễ tế của người Do Thái. Người ta phải đổi
tiền Rôma sang tiền Do Thái để nộp thuế đền thờ mà mỗi người Do Thái từ 19 tuổi
trở lên phải nộp nửa đồng bạc Do Thái (x. Mt 17,27). Một số người khác đổi tiền
để tự nguyện dâng cúng cho đền thờ (x. Lc 21,1-2).</span></p>

sự hiện diện của thú vật, đền thờ là nơi thánh bị ô uế và những người đổi tiền
đã làm tục hóa sự thánh thiêng của đền thờ. Cho nên, Đức Giêsu đã lên tiếng:
“Đừng biến nhà Cha ta thành một cái chợ” (Ga 2,16), và Ngài đã đánh đuổi phường
buôn bán cùng với các loài thú vật ra khỏi đền thờ, để trả lại sự thánh thiêng
của nơi thờ phượng Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

trong khi thanh tẩy đền thờ - một đền thờ được xây dựng bằng đá cho việc tôn thờ
Thiên Chúa, Chúa Giêsu hé mở cho nhân loại biết một sự tôn thờ mới được hình
thành nơi thân thể Ngài: “Cứ phá hủy đền thờ này đi; nội ba ngày, tôi sẽ xây
dựng lại”. Đức Giêsu nói đến cái chết và sự phục sinh của Ngài. Thân thể được
phục sinh sẽ là đền thờ mới, nơi nhân loại thờ phượng Thiên Chúa cách đích thực
như văn sĩ Tertullianô khẳng định: “Đức Kitô là đền thờ thật của Thiên Chúa, đền
thờ mở cho tất cả, nơi Thiên Chúa đón nhận sự thờ kính thật sự”. Cho nên, việc

Ngài. Cách thờ phượng trong chính sự thật, được Ngài mạc khải cho nhân loại khi
hé mở cho phụ nữ Samaria (x. Ga 4,21.23).</span></p>

tin vào Chúa Kitô - đền thờ mới của Thiên Chúa, vốn thường xuyên bị tục hóa, ô
uế do chính tội lỗi, cần được thanh tẩy. Thật thế, cần cố gắng thanh tẩy không
ngừng, bằng tâm tình sám hối và dấn thân bác ái, đặc biệt trong Mùa Chay, để đền
thờ tâm hồn người tín hữu luôn là nơi Thiên Chúa ngự …</span></p>
