<span style="color: black"> Yêu là một từ ngữ được sử dụng
nhiều nhất, nhưng lại là một từ ngữ dễ gây hiểu lầm nhất. Vì người ta
hiểu từ ngữ này theo những cách khác nhau. Có người hiểu yêu là những
quan hệ thân xác. Có người hiểu yêu là quản lý chặt chẽ. Có người hiểu
yêu thuộc lĩnh vực cảm tính. Để tránh những hiểu lầm, khi truyền cho ta
yêu thương, Đức Giêsu đã đưa ra một khuôn mẫu cho tình yêu. Khuôn mẫu đó
là: yêu như Chúa yêu.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Khi chia tay với các tông đồ để ra
đi nộp mình chịu chết, Chúa Giêsu đã không để lại một tài sản có thể
liệt kê, cũng chẳng để lại một kho tàng có thể hoá giá, mà chỉ để lại
một tâm sự gởi gắm được coi như bí mật cuối cùng và quí giá nhất của tâm
hồn Ngài. Đó là lệnh truyền: “Anh em hãy yêu thương nhau”. Trước đây,
Ngài đã đề cập nhiều đến giới luật yêu thương này rồi, nhưng chỉ trong
giời phút chia tay này mới thấy đó là mối bận tâm lớn nhất của Ngài. Yêu
thương nhau là dấu hiệu rõ nhất để nhận ra ai là kẻ thuộc về Ngài:
“Người ta cứ dấu này mà nhận biết chúng con là môn đệ Thầy, là chúng con
yêu thương nhau”.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> “Anh em hãy yêu thương nhau như
Thày đã yêu thương anh em”. Không còn nhầm lẫn nào nữa. Muốn làm môn đệ
Chúa, không phải yêu bằng bất cứ tình yêu nào, nhưng phải yêu như Chúa.
Tình yêu của Đức Giêsu không phải tự Người nghĩ ra, nhưng phát xuất từ
Chúa Cha: “Như Cha đã yêu mến Thày thế nào, Thày cũng yêu mến anh em như
thế”. Thế là đã rõ. Tất cả bắt nguồn từ cùng một tình yêu. Đức Chúa Cha
là nguồn cội. Từ nguồn mạch ấy, tình yêu tràn ra, lan toả đến mọi người.
Mọi tình yêu, muốn chân thực, phải quy chiếu về trái tim Chúa Cha.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Lề luật của Chúa được gồm tóm trong
hai điều, đó là mến Chúa và yêu người. Chúng ta hãy cố gắng thực thi hai
điều ấy với niềm xác tín rằng: qua những yêu thương nho nhỏ, chẳng hạn
như một ánh mắt dịu hiền, một nụ cười cảm thông, một lời nói an ủi, một
việc làm giúp đỡ…chúng ta sẽ trở nên là những môn đệ đích thực của Chúa.</span></p>

Người ta cứ dấu này mà nhận biết các con là môn đệ Thày, là các con yêu
thương nhau.</span></p>

<span style="color: black">Chính vì thế mà Chúa Giêsu đã phán: Điều răn
thứ nhất đó là kính mến Chúa hết lòng. Còn điều răn thứ hai cũng quan
trọng như điều răn thứ nhất, đó là hãy yêu mến tha nhân như chính bản
thân mình.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Và chúng ta thấy, cây thập giá là
biểu tượng cho sự gắn bó và hòa hợp giữa tình yêu Thiên Chúa và tình yêu
tha nhân: chiều dọc biểu tượng cho mối tương quan đối với Thiên Chúa,
còn chiều ngang biểu tượng cho mối tương giao giữa người với người.
Không có thanh dọc, thì thanh ngang chỉ có thể nằm dưới đất, không thể
nâng cao được. Trái lại nếu thiếu thanh ngang thì cây thập giá chỉ còn
là một cái cọc chơ vơ. Không có tình yêu Thiên Chúa thì tình yêu con
người khó có thể được nâng cao và không thể đạt tới viên mãn, nhưng nếu
không có tình yêu con người thì tình yêu Thiên Chúa cũng không thể đến
với con người, bởi vì chẳng ai thấy được Thiên Chúa bao giờ.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Vì thế, tình yêu của Ngài đối với
chúng ta đã được biểu lộ qua trung gian của tình yêu huynh đệ giữa chúng
ta. Nếu chúng ta yêu thương nhau thì Thiên Chúa luôn kết hợp với chúng
ta và tình yêu của Ngài mới đạt tới mức hoàn hảo nơi chúng ta. Nơi Đức
Kitô, Thiên Chúa đã trở thành Emmanuel, nghĩa là Thiên Chúa ở cùng chúng
ta, mang một khuôn mặt của con người, sống hoàn toàn như một con người
trần thế, ở giữa mọi người và hơn thế nữa, còn hạ mình sống thân phận
một kẻ nô lệ để có thể phục vụ và chết cho mọi người. Ngài đã lấy chính
cái chết trên thập giá để mạc khải trọn vẹn chân tính của mình là Thiên
Chúa hằng hữu. Sự hy sinh dâng hiến ấy, đối với Ngài, chính là nguồn
vui, an bình và vinh quang. Con người chỉ có thể đạt tới hạnh phúc khi
thể hiện lòng kính mến Thiên Chúa qua tình yêu thương đối với tha nhân,
với một ý thức rằng cho một kẻ bé mọn một chén cơm, một manh áo, một ly
nước là phục vụ cho chính Chúa. Hạnh phúc của chúng ta tùy thuộc vào tha
nhân cũng như hạnh phúc của tha nhân tùy thuộc vào chính chúng ta.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Chúa Giêsu muốn chúng ta hãy noi
theo tình yêu của Chúa Cha. Biết đối xử với nhau như Chúa Cha đối xử với
chúng ta. Hãy yêu thương hết mọi người không loại trừ một ai. Nhất là
hãy yêu thương những người bé nhỏ, cùng khổ, bất hạnh. Hãy biết tha thứ
những lỗi lầm của người khác. Tha thứ không phải chỉ một lần mà tha thứ
rất nhiều lần. Và hãy dám hy sinh, chấp nhận chịu thiệt thòi vì tình
yêu. Yêu như Chúa yêu. Đó mới là tình yêu đích thực. Chỉ có tình yêu bắt
nguồn từ Chúa mới bền vững và đem lại hạnh phúc cho nhân loại.</span></p>

<span style="color: black">Tình yêu đáp lại tình yêu. Nhận ra mình là kẻ
được Chúa yêu, chúng ta phải biết đáp trả bằng một tình yêu trung tín
đối với Chúa và tình yêu chân thành đối với mọi người anh em: Phải biết
“yêu như Chúa yêu” và “yêu người như yêu Chúa”.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Yêu như Chúa yêu, nghĩa là không
đóng khung giới hạn, không kéo bè kết cánh, cũng chẳng chọn lựa thành
phần này để loại trừ thành phần khác, mà trái lại, biết đến với mọi
người. Tình yêu như vây làm bùng phá mọi thứ hàng rào cản trở, kể cả
hàng rào muôn thuở của sự oán thù.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Yêu người như yêu Chúa, nghĩa là
không chỉ nhận ra trong những con người chúng ta phải yêu mến khuôn mặt
của người anh em, mà còn là khuôn mặt của chính Đấng đã yêu chúng ta
bằng tình yêu lớn nhất của Ngài. Tình yêu như thế luôn luôn là một mạo
hiểm của mầu nhiệm Tử Nạn-Phục Sinh, nhưng bên trong lại là một niềm vui
bất tận.</span></p>

<span style="color: black"> Qua tình yêu, Thiên Chúa đã để
chúng ta tùy nghi sử dụng cái năng lực mãnh liệt nhất, trên thế gian
này, đó là thứ năng lực mà mọi tiền của trên thế gian không thể mua
được. Đó là thứ năng lực mà mọi tri thức trên thế gian không thể tạo ra
được. Đó là thứ năng lực mà mọi lãnh tụ trên thế giới không thể chiếm
hữu được. Đó cũng là thứ năng lực mà mọi đạo quân trên trần thế không
thể tập trung lại được. Và kiều kỳ diệu hơn nữa, Tình yêu là năng lực mà
mọi người đều có.</span></p>
