đấng đầy uy quyền. Cha nhớ trước đây đã có lần ông Moise tiên báo về
Chúa như thế này: “Từ giữa anh em, Thiên Chúa sẽ cho xuất hiện một ngôn
sứ để giúp anh em”.</span></font></p>

Khi Chúa giảng cho dân chúng, họ đã thấy ngay: <b><i>

Quả đúng như thế. Lời Chúa giảng là những lời đầy uy quyền. Lý do vì Lời
của Chúa có sức mạnh <b><i>

</span></i></b>người khác. Nhiếu người đã nhờ Lời Chúa mà được biến đổi.
Tại sao thế? Vì Chúa giảng bằng sức mạnh và chính cuộc sống của Chúa.</span></font></p>

Chúng con hãy nghe câu chuyện này: <i><span style="font-style: italic">
Tokichi Ishii, một tên giết người không gớm tay. Y đã đạt kỷ lục về việc
giết nhiều người nhất bằng những phương thế dã man không thể tưởng tượng
nổi. Y sát hại đàn ông, đàn bà phụ nữ, trẻ em với bàn tay khát máu. Y đã
thủ tiêu bất cứ người nào tình cờ y gặp và muốn giết. Nhưng rồi cuối
cùng y đã bị bắt và bị kết án tử hình.</span></i></span></font></p>

Lúc ở trong nhà tù chờ ngày bị hành quyết, có hai phụ nữ công tác tông
đồ đã đến khuyên nhủ y. Nhưng tất cả những lời thăm hỏi, trò chuyện của
họ đều không làm cho y mảy may xúc đổng. Trái lại y còn nhìn chằm chặp
vào họ với một cặp mắt dữ tợn như muốn nuốt sống họ.</span></font></i></p>

Cuối cùng, vì không còn đủ kiên nhẫn nữa, hai phụ ấy nữ ra về. Nhưng
trước khi ra khỏi nơi gặp gỡ, họ để lại cho y một cuốn sách Tân Ước với
hy vọng mỏng manh rằng y sẽ đọc và rồi Lời Chúa sẽ hoạt động… Và đúng
như họ mong ước: Niềm hy vọng của họ đã trở thành sự thật. Ishii đã đọc.
Lời Chúa thu hút Ishii khiến anh tiếp tục đọc hết đoạn tường thuật về
cuộc tử nạn của Chúa Giêsu… Khi đọc đến câu: “Lạy Cha, xin Cha tha cho
chúng vì chúng không biết việc chúng làm”! (Lc 23, 34), anh ta dừng lại
và suy nghĩ. Anh tâm sự: “Đọc đến câu này, trái tim tôi bị đánh động, bị
đâm thâu bằng một con dao dài. Tôi có thể gọi đó là tình yêu của ông
Giêsu, hay là lòng thương xót của Ngài không thì tôi không biết, nhưng<b><span style="font-weight: bold">
điều duy nhất tôi biết là sự hung dữ, tàn bạo nơi tôi đã tan biến và tôi
đã tin vào Chúa”.</span></b></span></font></i></p>

Khi các nhân viên nhà giam dẫn anh ta đi để hành quyết, họ rất ngạc
nhiên thấy tử tội Ishii hòa nhã, lễ độ, chứ không như một tên giết người
hung bạo như trước nữa. Ishii, đã được lời Chúa hoán cải</span></font></i><font size="4" face="Times New Roman"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
(Trích Lẽ Sống, Radio Veritas).</span></font></p>

chúng con thấy: Lời của Chúa đã có sức mạnh như vậy đó. Lời Chúa đã biến
đổi một con người như vậy. Đọc trong Lịch sử của Giáo Hội cha còn thấy
rất nhiều trường hợp như thế.</span></font></p>

2. Tiếp đến, Chúa còn là Đấng đầy uy quyền trong hành động.</span></font></i></b></p>

Tin Mừng hôm nay ghi lại: Lời giảng của Chúa làm cho “cả các thần ô uế
phải vâng theo” (Mc 1,27). Chính thái độ vâng phục của ma quỷ trước uy
quyền của Chúa, đã nói lên điều đó<i><span style="font-style: italic">:

Giêsu Nadarét, chuyện chúng tôi can gì đến ông mà ông đến tiêu diệt
chúng tôi? Tôi biết ông là ai rồi: ông là Ðấng Thánh của Thiên Chúa!"</span></font></i></p>

người này!"</span></i> Thần ô uế lay mạnh người ấy, thét lên một tiếng,

Con người này</span><span lang="VI" style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
cứ đắm chìm trong đường tội lỗi. Gần đến ngày ông ta phải về tính sổ
trước mặt Chúa, thiên thần bản mệnh của ông chỉ còn biết khóc thầm,
thương cho ông. Hơn nữa ma quỉ còn lợi dụng cơ hội này để thúc đẩy con
người này tiến thẳng xuống hỏa ngục. Ma quỉ đã đến bên ông và gieo vào
tâm hồn ông niềm thất vọng, chán nản. Ma quỷ nói với ông:</span></font></p>

Trong chốc lát, ông như tỉnh ngộ. Ông bước đi nhưng mắt vẫn ngước nhìn
về ngai vàng nơi Thiên Chúa ngự trị và tấm lòng vẫn còn hy vọng được
Thiên Chúa tha thứ vì lòng nhân từ khoan thứ vô biên của Ngài. Thấy vậy,
ma quỉ nói với ông:</span></font></p>

- Hỡi người tội lỗi cứng lòng, hãy bước đi chứ đừng hy vọng gì nữa.</span></font></p>

Tội nhân vẫn cứ tiếp tục bước. Lòng vẫn cầu nguywện trong sự e thẹn:</span></font></p>

- Lạy Chúa, Chúa thật là Đấng công chính. Tội của con thật đáng với án
phạt nhưng vì tình thương bao la của Chúa, xin tha tội cho con. Tuy dù
con bất xứng trăm bề, nhưng Chúa biết rằng niềm hy vọng trong tâm hồn
con chẳng bao giờ tắt, vì con luôn tin tưởng vào lòng khoan dung của
Ngài. Lạy Chúa, nỡ nào Chúa lại lên án phạt con. Nỡ nào Chúa lại tuyên
phạt con đời đời hay sao?</span></font></p>

Thiên Chúa đã cảm động trước lời cầu xin khiêm tốn của ông ta. Ngài
truyền cho các thiên thần:</span></font></p>

- Hãy dẫn người đàn ông khiêm tốn ấy đến trước mặt ta. Lửa yêu thương
của Ta sẽ thiêu hủy hết tội lỗi của nó. Mặc dù nó phạm tội nhiều nhưng
không bao giờ nó hết nghi ngờ lòng nhân từ vô biên của Ta, vì thế Ta
muốn nó được sống trong nước vinh quang của Ta, sống bên cạnh ta để nó
sẽ ca ngợi lòng nhân từ của Ta mãi mãi. </span>
