phát triển nhân bản toàn diện, giới thiệu trong cuộc họp báo, tại Phòng
báo chí Tòa Thánh, sáng ngày 12/2/2021 vừa qua, và có chủ đề là: “Này
đây, chúng ta cùng đi lên Jerusalem...” (Mt 20,18). Mùa Chay: mùa canh
tân đức tin, hy vọng và bác ái”.</font></h4>

<font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt">Sau khi nhắc đến ý nghĩa sự chay tịnh, cầu nguyện và làm phúc, như Chúa
Giêsu đã trình bày trong bài giảng của Người (xc. Mt 6,1-18), Đức Thánh
cha khẳng định rằng: “Mùa chay được cử hành để hy vọng, để tái nhìn lên
sự kiên nhẫn của Thiên Chúa, Đấng tiếp tục chăm sóc công trình tạo dựng
của Người, trong khi chúng ta thường ngược đãi công trình ấy (Laudato
sì, 32-33.43-44). Mùa Chay là hy vọng nơi sự hòa giải, như thánh Phaolô
đã nhắn nhủ (2 Cr 5,20). Khi đón nhận ơn tha thứ trong bí tích nơi trung
tâm tiến trình hoán cải, chúng ta trở thành những người phổ biến ơn tha
thứ...”</font></h4>

<font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt">Đức Thánh cha nhắn nhủ rằng: “Trong Mùa Chay, chúng ta hãy chú ý hơn,
“nói những lời khích lệ, củng cố, mang lại sức mạnh, an ủi, khuyến
khích, thay vì những lời hạ nhục, gây đau buồn, giận dữ, khinh rẻ” (Ft
223). Nhiều khi để mang lại hy vọng, chỉ cần là một người “tử tế, gạt
qua những lo âu và những điều cấp thiết của mình để quan tâm đến người
khác, trao tặng họ một nụ cười, để nói một lời khuyến khích, để tạo nên
một môi trường có thể lắng nghe giữa bao nhiêu dửng dưng lãnh đạm” (Ft
224).</font></h4>

<font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt">Đức Thánh cha cũng giải thích rằng “Sống một Mùa Chay trong hy vọng có
nghĩa cảm thấy mình là chứng nhân về một thời mới, trong Chúa Giêsu
Kitô, thời kỳ trong đó Thiên Chúa “đổi mới mọi sự” (Kh 21,1-6). Có nghĩa
là đón nhận hy vọng từ Chúa Kitô, Đấng đã hiến mình trên thập giá... và
sẵn sàng trả lời cho bất kỳ ai hỏi chúng ta lý do tại sao chúng ta hy
vọng” (1 Pr 3,15).</font></h4>

<font face="Times New Roman" style="font-size: 14pt">Trong Sứ điệp, Đức Thánh cha đặc biệt nhấn mạnh đến “Đức bác ái, được
sống theo gương Chúa Kitô, trong sự quan tâm và cảm thương đối với mỗi
người, đó là sự biểu lộ cao trọng nhất niềm tin và hy vọng của chúng
ta”. Đức Thánh cha viết: “Sống một Mùa Chay bác ái có nghĩa là chăm sóc
những người ở trong tình cảnh đau khổ, bị bỏ rơi hoặc lo âu vì đại dịch
Covid-19. Trong bối cảnh rất bấp bênh về tương lai, chúng ta hãy nhớ đến
lời Chúa nói với Tôi tớ của Người: “Đừng sợ, vì Ta đã cứu chuộc con” (Is
43,1), trong tình bác ái chúng ta hãy cống hiến một lời tín nhiệm, làm
cho người khác cảm thấy họ được Thiên Chúa yêu thương như con cái”.</font></h4>

trong cuộc sống là thời gian để tin tưởng, hy vọng và yêu mến. Ước gì
lời mời gọi này, sống Mùa Chay như một hành trình hoán cải, cầu nguyện
và chia sẻ của cải của chúng ta giúp chúng ta xét lại trong ký ức cộng
đồng và bản thân, niềm tin đến từ Chúa Kitô hằng sống, niềm hy vọng được
hơi thở của Thánh Linh linh hoạt, và tình yêu bắt nguồn từ trái tim
thương xót khôn cùng của Chúa Cha”.</font></h4>
