Hội bắt đầu Mùa Chay. Có lẽ hai tiếng "Mùa Chay" làm chúng ta sợ hãi vì nó
khiến ta nghĩ đến một thời gian khắc khổ, buồn rầu. Đành rằng Mùa Chay là
thời gian ăn năn sám hối, hy sinh hãm mình. Nhưng tất cả những việc đó đều
cần thiết để có được niềm vui tái sinh với Chúa trong Lễ Phục sinh. Cũng như
người nông dân phải cực nhọc gieo vãi cấy cày thì mới có được mùa thu hoạch
dồi dào.</span></p>

ta, mà bước vào thời gian này với tất cả tâm hồn quảng đại và chân thành.</span></p>

"làm hòa lại với Thiên Chúa" : tội lỗi đã phá huỷ những liên hệ hài hòa giữa

hối chính là "thời Thiên Chúa thi ân, thời Thiên Chúa cứu độ".</span></p>

đầu Mùa Chay, Chúa Giêsu nói về cầu nguyện, ăn chay và bố thí ? Thưa vì 3
việc này, nếu được làm một cách đạo đức thật sự – nghĩa là làm không phải để
được tiếng khen của người đời mà làm vì lòng mến Chúa yêu người chân thành –
sẽ giúp chúng ta quay về chứ không còn lạc lối nữa (nghĩa chính xác của "sám
hối" chính là "quay về").</span></p>

chay sẽ giải thoát chúng ta khỏi quá bận tâm đến các nhu cầu vật chất, tự
nhiên và sẽ thoả mãn những nhu cầu tinh thần, siêu nhiên.</span></p>

hình ảnh loài người để mô tả Thiên Chúa : Thiên Chúa là một người tình, một
người chồng hết mực yêu thương loài người. Nhưng mối tình này mang tính đơn
phương nhiều hơn là song phương, và đã bao lần đổ vỡ.</span></p>

Ngài đã làm rất nhiều cách. Và cách cuối cùng vượt quá sức tưởng tượng của
loài người : Ngài đã cho Con Một thân yêu của mình hạ mình đến với loài
người, ngỏ lời yêu thương với loài người, sống chung với loài người, tha thứ
hết mọi tội lỗi của loài người và chết thay cho loài người.</span></p>
